Title: Application Support SpecialistWe are looking for an experiences Application Support Specialist who is ready to step into a role with direct responsibilities for the quality of our applications. You will be part of our new IT team in India to support our head IT office in Denmark. The successful candidate will provide expert support and maintenance for critical applications, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with business requirements.You will initially be focusing on:- Maintaining stability and functionality of our applications- Development and maintenance of data pipelines- Troubleshooting, analyzing and addressing issues- Application maintenance and operational supportOver time, the team will expand into:- Feature development- Participation in new projects, including close collaboration between IT and stakeholdersAll work is to be fully integrated into our existing development workflow, including structured testing, code reviews and documentation standards.Job Responsibilities:- Application maintenance and bug fixing- Investigate, troubleshoot and proactively address recurring issues- Perform root cause analysis- Deliver stable and well-tested fixes- Managing and prioritizing tickets, ensuring accountability and timely resolution- Ensure systems stability, minimizing disruption to business operations- Data pipeline development and maintenance- Development and maintain automated download jobs and integrations- Monitor and improve performance and reliability of existing pipelines- Validate data and error handling- Identifying patterns and opportunities for optimization based on system data and feedback from colleagues- Code quality and development standards- Follow and propose coding standards and best practices- Participate in code review sessions to ensure code quality and security- Ensure timely resolution of incidents with high quality code- Creating and maintaining clear internal documentation and facilitating knowledge-sharing where needed- Collaboration and communication- Work closely with the IT team in Denmark- Participate in daily/weekly standups- Communicate clearly in English (written and spoken)- Provide structured status updates- Gradual expansion- Feature development- Contribute to technical design discussions and solution proposals- Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements- Support new project implementationsRequired qualifications:- Master’s degree in computer science, IT or related field- 2 - 5 years of experience in application support or software development- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills- Hands on experience with REST APIs and database systems- Hands on experience with web crawling is a plus- Good English and communication skillsMust have skills:- Python, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Git,Good to have skills:- Django, Docker, MongoDB.Interpersonal skills:- Strong sense of accountability- Ability to work independently and within defined processes- Strong communication skillsAbout Jakob and Partners India Pvt.
