Job Description

Role - Manager – Employee RelationsQualification - Full time Graduate in Law / LLB MBA / MSW from a well-known institute is preferred Experience - 7+ years of relevant ER experience in leading organizationsStrong hands-on experience managing labour litigation across multiple jurisdictionsExperience handling legacy or complex employment matters preferredExperience dealing with statutory authorities (DLC/ALC, PF, ESIC, Factory)Proven exposure to ER risk advisory and investigationsDeep knowledge of Indian employment laws and compliance frameworks Prior employment law practice exposure preferredLead and manage labour and employment legal matters across India, with end-to-end ownership of closed units, legacy establishments, and locations without HRBP support.Serve as the primary liaison with external counsel; drive case strategy, quality of representation, and timely progress of proceedings.Conduct detailed fact-finding, prepare case briefs, and draft responses/notices for courts and statutory authorities.Maintain and periodically review the contingent liability and litigation tracker, providing risk insights and provisioning inputs to Finance and HR leadership.Liaise with DLC/ALC, Factory Department, PF, ESIC, and other statutory authorities as required.Coordinate monthly, half-yearly, and annual statutory returns for closed and legacy locations.Manage court appearances in coordination with counsel wherever required.Negotiate legal fees, finalize engagement terms, and ensure compliant onboarding of advocates.Build ER capability through training and advisory to HR and business leaders.Ensure audit readiness and manage inspections across locations where applicable.
