This is a senior-level role suited for a professional with strong experience in NBFC and fintech regulatory environments.The role will work closely with senior management to ensure the organisation operates within all legal and regulatory requirements while strengthening internal governance structures. This position is designed as a future CFO track role, offering opportunities to contribute to broader financial leadership and strategic decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory ComplianceEnsure adherence to applicable NBFC, fintech, and financial regulatory requirements.Monitor regulatory developments and implement necessary compliance frameworks.Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external advisors on compliance matters.Corporate GovernanceManage corporate secretarial functions, including board processes, statutory filings, and governance documentation.Ensure compliance with company law and other statutory obligations.Support board and committee meetings with appropriate documentation and regulatory oversight.Legal & Risk ManagementProvide guidance on legal and regulatory matters affecting the business.Review contracts, agreements, and internal policies to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures.Compliance Monitoring & ReportingEstablish systems to track compliance obligations and regulatory reporting.Conduct periodic compliance reviews and risk assessments.Prepare compliance reports for senior management and the board.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with finance, operations, and leadership teams to embed compliance within business processes.Support the development of strong internal controls and governance practices.QualificationsQualified Company Secretary (CS) – mandatoryAdditional qualifications such as an MBA (Finance), CA, ICWA, or CFA will be considered an advantageExperienceMinimum 10 years of work experience in compliance, legal, or corporate governance rolesPrior experience in NBFC, fintech, or financial services organisationsStrong understanding of regulatory frameworks, corporate governance, and legal complianceKey SkillsRegulatory and legal compliance expertiseCorporate governance and secretarial practicesRisk management and internal controlsStrong analytical and documentation skillsAbility to work closely with senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders
