The candidate should have strong expertise in system design, drawings, calculations, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with relevant standards and project requirements. Design for air cooled, DCLC, LIC expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesFire Protection System DesignPrepare concept, schematic, and detailed designs for fire protection systems including:Fire Detection & Alarm Systems (FDAS)Fire Suppression SystemsSprinkler Systems & Pre action systems.Gas Suppression Systems (FM200, Novec, Inergen, etc.)Hydrant & Hose Reel SystemsPerform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler and hydrant networks.Prepare fire protection layouts, riser diagrams, and equipment sizing.Ensure designs comply with NFPA, NBC, FM Global, and local authority regulations.ELV System DesignDesign and develop layouts for ELV systems, including:CCTV Surveillance SystemsAccess Control SystemsPublic Address / Voice Evacuation SystemsStructured Cabling SystemsBMS / IBMS integrationIntrusion Detection SystemsCPMSWLD, RRS, FLDDCIM & EPMSPrepare schematics, single-line diagrams, and cable routing drawings.Define system architecture and equipment specifications, knowledge of 7layers of security.Data Center (DC) DesignDesign fire suppression systems specifically for Data Centers.Ensure compliance with TIA-942, Uptime Institute, and NFPA standards.Coordinate with MEP, IT, and infrastructure teams for DC environments.Design VESDA / Early Warning Smoke Detection Systems.Engineering & DocumentationPrepare/Review design reports, BOQs, specifications, and tender documents.Conduct/Review load calculations and equipment selection.Prepare/Review technical submittals and compliance documentation.CoordinationCoordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams, consultant, PMC, site execution teams.Participate in design review meetings and technical discussions.Support project teams during installation, testing, and commissioning for technical resolutions.Compliance & StandardsEnsure designs meet international and local standards such as:NFPANBCUL/FMTIA-942/UptimeLocal Fire Authority RequirementsRequired SkillsTechnical SkillsFire Protection System DesignELV System DesignHydraulic CalculationsFire Alarm System DesignGas Suppression System DesignData Center Infrastructure DesignSoftware SkillsAutoCADRevit MEP (Preferred)Hydraulic calculation softwareMS OfficeBIM coordination tools (preferred)QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical EngineeringFire protection certifications:NFPA Certification– Optional but advantageousCFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist) – Optional but advantageousKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood understanding of Data Center infrastructureAbility to work in multidisciplinary design environmentsStrong communication and coordination skillsAttention to technical details and safety compliancePreferred ExperienceExperience in Hyperscale / Enterprise Data Center projectsExposure to BIM-based design environmentsExperience in international design standards
