Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable to manage end-to-end AP operations in a fast-paced e-commerce gifting environment. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in inventory-heavy operations, Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, vendor management, and team handling. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working with high transaction volumes.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable & P2P OperationsManage the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, GRN matching, and paymentsEnsure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices with proper complianceHandle inventory-related accounting, including reconciliation with warehouse and operations teamsOversee vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficientlyEnsure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and statutory requirementsInventory & Operations AccountingWork closely with operations, supply chain, and warehouse teams on inventory accountingMonitor inventory-related AP entries, accruals, and provisionsSupport month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP and inventoryTeam ManagementManage, mentor, and review the work of the AP teamAllocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to SLAsDrive process improvements and automation initiatives where possibleSystems & ReportingMaintain accurate books in Tally ERPPrepare AP ageing reports, MIS, and management dashboardsSupport audits (internal & external) by providing required documentationStakeholder & Vendor ManagementMaintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholdersAct as a point of escalation for AP-related issuesCommunicate clearly with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operationsKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of Accounts Payable & P2P processesHands-on experience in inventory and ops-heavy environments (e-commerce preferred)Proficiency in Tally Accounting SoftwareExperience in team handling and people managementStrong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage high transaction volumes
