This role sits at the intersection of finance and business, acting as a strategic partner to business units and enabling data-driven decision-making.This is a high-visibility role with regular interaction with senior stakeholders, including business heads and leadership teams. The role requires a strong focus on business finance, unit economics, and actionable insights, going beyond traditional FP&A.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive long term planning exercise including preparing of the 5-year Business PlanRun the full budgeting process for assigned business units, including detailed P&L with focus on business drivers, revenue levers, and cost structuresEnsure budgetary control through monthly business reviews, variance analysis, and clear articulation of performance driversAct as a finance business partner to business, product, and functional leaders to support decision-making through financial insightsIndependently own and manage financials of multiple LoBs (revenue, margins, and profitability)Propose and drive revenue, margin, and cost improvement initiatives with cross-functional stakeholdersPerform deep-dive analysis across unit economics (CAC, LTV, contribution margins, payback), revenue drivers, and cost structuresAnalyze cash flow, working capital trends, and cost efficiencies to identify optimization opportunitiesPrepare and present monthly and quarterly MIS, dashboards, and business performance reviews with actionable insightsTranslate complex financial data into clear business narratives and strategic recommendationsEvaluate new initiatives, product launches, and investments through financial modeling and scenario analysisPartner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to evaluate GTM strategies, campaign ROI, and pricing decisionsTrack and analyze key business KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities to improve performanceDrive discussions with business teams to understand problems, evaluate trade-offs, and co-create solutionsPropose and execute value creation initiatives (topline growth and margin expansion) with cross-functional teamsSupport strategic initiatives such as business expansion, cost optimization, and process improvementsRun special projects such as profitability analysis, business case evaluations, and investment analysisImplement and improve systems, reporting frameworks, and dashboards to enhance data accuracy and scalabilityChampion finance as a strategic partner and ensure consistency across financial and business reportingQualifications6 - 8 years of experience in Business Finance / FP&A / Commercial Finance rolesStrong understanding of finance and accounting, including P&L management, unit economics, and corporate finance conceptsProven experience in business partnering and influencing cross-functional stakeholdersHands-on experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and analyzing large datasetsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate insights into business decisionsExperience in high-growth, data-driven environments (consumer internet, edtech, SaaS preferred)Strong communication and presentation skills for senior leadership and non-finance stakeholdersProficiency in Excel and familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and ERP systemsBachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, or related fieldMBA / CA / CFA or equivalent preferredEmeritus provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.In press:
