Role OverviewThe Sales Manager – Ex-Tank Ammonia Sales will be responsible for marketing and selling ammonia on an ex-tank basis from company’s port-based storage terminals to domestic customers. The role focuses on demand creation, customer acquisition, price negotiation, contract management, and coordination with terminal operations to ensure timely and safe product deliveries.The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in ammonia sales, fertilizers, chemicals, or industrial gases, with a strong understanding of ex-tank commercial structures, customer logistics, and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesEx-Tank Ammonia Sales & Customer ManagementDrive ex-tank sales of ammonia to fertilizer manufacturers, chemical producers, traders, bottlers and industrial consumers.Develop and manage a strong customer pipeline, including identification of new customers and expansion of existing accounts.Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions for spot and term ex-tank ammonia sales.Execute sales contracts in coordination with internal trading, finance, and legal teams.Ensure achievement of volume and margin targets in line with the company’s commercial strategy.Market Development & Ammonia Domain ExpertiseTrack ammonia market trends, domestic demand–supply dynamics, seasonal requirements, and pricing movements.Leverage technical understanding of ammonia handling, storage, and safety to engage confidently with customers and address operational queries.Identify new application segments for ammonia, including industrial, refrigeration, and emerging green ammonia use cases.Logistics & Terminal CoordinationCoordinate closely with terminal operations, scheduling, and HSE teams to plan product releases, truck/rail dispatches, and delivery timelines.Ensure customer compliance with terminal operating procedures, safety standards, and statutory requirements.Act as the commercial interface between customers and terminal teams for smooth execution of ex-tank deliveries.Commercial Controls & Risk ManagementMonitor customer credit exposure and ensure adherence to approved credit limits and payment terms.Support invoicing, receivables follow-up, and dispute resolution related to ex-tank sales.Maintain accurate sales forecasts, volume planning, and management reporting.
