Moontrail Animation Studios is building at the intersection of AI, video, and next-generation animation workflows.We are seeking a Founding Technical Lead to help architect and prototype a stealth product focused on video understanding, scene reconstruction, and editable creative workflows.This role sits at the crossroads of:machine learningcomputer visionvideo systems3D graphicscreative production toolingYou will help define the technical roadmap, prototype the core system, and shape the long-term engineering direction of a new platform.ResponsibilitiesDesign and prototype systems for video analysis and scene decompositionWork on segmentation, tracking, motion estimation, depth reasoning, and scene representationTranslate advanced research into practical product featuresDefine technical architecture and MVP boundariesHelp shape future hiring and technical strategyRequirements7+ years of relevant experience preferredStrong Python, PyTorch, and OpenCV experienceStrong background in computer vision, ML, video pipelines, or 3D graphicsExperience building real systems, not only research prototypesAbility to work independently in an early-stage environmentPreferredNeRF / Gaussian splatting / SLAM / SfMgenerative video workflows3D pipelines / animation / VFX / gaming / media-techGPU optimization and ML infrastructureThis is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys technically ambitious product challenges and wants to help define a new category of AI-native creative tooling.Confidentiality is required.
