We Are HiringDesignation: Dean –Centre of Artificial IntelligenceEducational Qualification:• Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university. • Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Computer Science or allied domain. • Strong academic background with consistently good academic record. • Certifications or advanced training in AI, ML, Data Science, or emerging technologies will be an added advantage.Experience:• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in academia, research, and academic administration. • At least 5 years of experience in leadership roles such as Professor / Head of Department / Dean / Academic Administrator. • Mandatory experience in teaching and research in Artificial Intelligence or related domains. • Proven experience in curriculum design, academic governance, and accreditation processes. • Experience working with UGC, AICTE, NEP 2020, and other regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.Role Summary:The Dean – Centre of Artificial Intelligence will provide academic, research, and strategic leadership to establish and grow the Centre of Artificial Intelligence as a center of excellence. The role involves curriculum development, faculty leadership, research promotion, industry collaboration, and compliance with statutory bodies. The Dean will ensure academic quality, innovation, and alignment with emerging AI trends while contributing to the university’s long-term vision.Roles and Responsibilities:Academic Leadership & Curriculum Development• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of AI-focused academic programs (UG, PG, Ph.D.). • Ensure curriculum alignment with: – Industry requirements – Emerging AI technologies – NEP 2020 guidelines – UGC / AICTE norms • Promote interdisciplinary learning across engineering, management, healthcare, and social sciences. • Oversee academic delivery, assessment methodologies, and learning outcomes.Faculty Management & Academic Governance• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members within the Centre of AI. • Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and ethical research. • Allocate teaching loads, review academic performance, and support faculty development initiatives. • Ensure adherence to academic policies, examination systems, and quality benchmarks.Research, Innovation & Publications• Drive high-quality research in AI, ML, Data Science, Robotics, NLP, Computer Vision, and allied domains. • Promote funded research projects, patents, consultancy, and sponsored research. • Encourage publications in high-impact journals and reputed conferences. • Establish research labs, centers of excellence, and incubation initiatives. • Facilitate collaborations with national and international research institutions.Industry Collaboration & Academic Partnerships• Build strong linkages with industry, startups, and research organizations. • Enable: – Industry-sponsored labs – Internship and placement opportunities – Guest lectures and adjunct faculty engagement • Promote joint certifications, collaborative research, and skill-based programs. • Support technology transfer, innovation, and entrepreneurship initiatives.Accreditation, Compliance & Quality Assurance• Ensure compliance with: – UGC, AICTE, and statutory norms – NAAC, NBA, and other accreditation requirements • Lead documentation, audits, and academic reporting processes. • Support institutional ranking, benchmarking, and quality improvement initiatives.Strategic Planning & Institutional Development• Contribute to the university’s academic and research strategy. • Identify emerging AI trends and integrate them into academic and research planning. • Support student admissions, outreach, branding, and academic visibility of the Centre of AI. • Represent the Centre of AI in academic councils, boards, and external forums.Required Skills & Expertise:• Deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence and related technologies. • Strong academic leadership and strategic planning capabilities. • Proven ability to build academic programs and research ecosystems. • Excellent communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills. • Experience with academic ERP systems and digital learning platforms.Personal Attributes:• Visionary academic leader with innovation mindset. • High ethical standards and academic integrity. • Collaborative and student-centric approach. • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work in a dynamic and evolving academic environment.Performance Indicators (KPIs):• Academic quality and program outcomes. • Research output, funded projects, and publications. • Faculty performance and development. • Industry partnerships and student placement outcomes. • Accreditation, compliance, and ranking contributions.Working Conditions:• Full-time, on-campus leadership role. • Active participation in university governance and academic councils. • Occasional travel for academic collaborations, conferences, and regulatory engagements.
