JOB SUMMARYThis is a strategic Procurement role, where the incumbent will lead the Equipment purchases- mainly assembly line. Shall be responsible for end-to-end procurement of equipment and materials required for functioning of plant. RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for Capex/Indirect sourcing /Purchasing for an OEM in the areas of Cell ManufacturingManage the sourcing portfolio ensuring transparency of awardingLead and manage the RFI, RFQ, Cost Comparison, Bottom up or Zero based up costing, Negotiation & awarding process.Establish beneficial working relationships with various internal groups across the organization including various programs, regional/country offices, legal, finance, and others.Manage complex projects from conception through implementation, including change management.Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques.Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.Surveying new vendors.Ensuring that order release is completed on time & within budgetVisit the Vendors for expediting the works along with Project teamWell-versed in order amendment execution. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: Proven work experience in Indirect Sourcing, preferrable Cell production Company for Green field or Brown Field Project Or worked on any green field / Brown field CAPEX procurement ( Equipments especially )Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.Broad Knowledge about Cell Assy & Cell Production Equipment’s required for Plant functioning is additional advantage.Analyzing line complaints packs and implementing appropriate corrective and preventive actions Validation of BOM vs physical quantity consumption in battery packsStrong project management and leadership skills.Able to break down the cost of equipment and cross verify with OEM.Should have ability to strategize , plan and work on own Good in Presentation skills ( Power points )Desired: Solid judgment with ability to make good decisionsStrong Communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Capable of managing self-activity planning and sorting priorities as per deadlines and work without supervision. Coordinating with users for PR, Approvals and releasing PO.Expedite the payments- aligning with the GRN & Accounts payable team. Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications Essential- bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.ERP Systems, SAP, Ariba14+ years of experience in indirect sourcing/procurement in the Cell Production/ automotive industry
