Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and strategic Purchase Manager to lead and oversee the procurement function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely availability of materials while maintaining quality and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals. Lead and manage the end-to-end purchasing process for raw materials, components, and services. Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to achieve cost efficiency. Monitor inventory levels and ensure effective planning to avoid shortages or excess stock. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams for technical and operational alignment. Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics and conduct periodic audits. Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks to support decision-making. Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. Prepare procurement budgets, forecasts, and cost-saving initiatives. Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems. Lead, mentor, and develop the purchase team.  Qualifications B. E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering 10–15 years of experience in procurement, with at least 4–5 years in a leadership role. MBA in Supply Chain Management / Operations is a bonus Must-Have Skills Strong expertise in procurement strategies and supply chain management. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills. Strong understanding of technical procurement (engineering components/materials). Vendor development and relationship management expertise. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control. Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities. Good-to-Have Skills Experience in manufacturing or engineering industry. Knowledge of import/export procedures and global sourcing. Familiarity with compliance, audit, and risk management practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Experience in end-to-end procurement for EPC projects including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and structural materials.
