Senior Supplier Relationship Manager (External Supply Organization)Location: Kolshet, Thane Budget: upto 20lpa (depending on current ctc)Notice period: Asap Role MissionThe Senior Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) builds and maintains strategic partnerships with key external suppliers to ensure performance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with company goals. The role oversees supplier governance, risk management, and continuous improvement, focusing on supply reliability, quality compliance, cost control, and meeting operational targets. The SRM is the primary contact for assigned suppliers and facilitates collaboration within SRTeams.Key Responsibilities of Senior Supplier Relations ManagerSupplier Relationship Management:Maintain proactive, ongoing communication to address and resolve operational challenges, and escalate critical issues as necessary to ensure business continuity.Lead and facilitate regular business reviews/performance evaluations and cycle meetings with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs)/Suppliers. Assist CMOs/Suppliers in resolving problems and implementing continuous improvement programs, including assessing corrective actions and their outcomes.Internal Collaboration:Lead cross-functional teams to oversee daily operations related to manufacturing, testing, batch release, and project implementation at strategic partners.Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with Quality Assurance (QA), Regulatory Affairs (RA), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Procurement, and MS&T. Jointly address changes, manage complaints, support audits, lead commercial negotiations, and coordinate production planning.Coordinate and support communications with key internal functions to meet commercial manufacturing needs.Support sourcing strategies and supplier selection processes.Facilitate negotiation, pricing, and service agreementsSupply Continuity:Ensure effective communication and coordination of critical activities so that all stakeholders understand and meet objectives.Supervise component availability, assess production capacity, validate orders, and ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance to maintain seamless supply chain operations.Technology Change and Transfer Coordination:Manage end-to-end processes for technology changes and transfers (including Existing Products Management and Change Control TrackWise Quality System). Negotiate transfer agreements and collaborate closely with the Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) team to ensure seamless transitions.Quality Process Support:Supervise the resolution of complaints and deviations.Actively participate in quality review meetings and ensure strict adherence to quality agreements and regulatory requirements.Data and Analysis Management: Analyse supplier data including forecasts, orders, inventory, and sales. Monitor operational KPIs. Prepare comprehensive reports and executive summaries to inform decision-making.Documentation and Administrative Processes:Draft and administer Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs), validate invoices and budgets, and actively contribute to essential operational meetings such as S&OP, Missed Sales, and Quality Reviews. Support the Research & Development team in communications with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), including the assessment and preparation of offers and quotations for contract manufacturing services.Product Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to implement industrial changes to products manufactured by licensors and CMOs, driven by evolving market needs. Lead related project initiatives to successful completion. Supporting key initiatives of the Product LCM Team New CMO Verification:Identify and evaluate potential new CMOs based on R&D project requirements, technical capabilities, and intellectual property considerations. Support the selection of new sites for product launches and commercial manufacturing.Key Objectives (2026–2027) Sustain high OTIF performance and reduce sales shortages. Lead technology transfer initiatives, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Support in the formulation of a comprehensive supplier management strategy for strategic partnersEnhance cross-functional collaboration within SRT teams and streamline supplier operations. Drive supplier consolidation and cost-efficiency strategies. Advance analytical and reporting capabilities for CMO relationship management. Partner with suppliers to achieve sustainability and ESG objectives.Qualifications: Strong ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders.Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, QA processes, pharmaceutical technology, and intellectual property (including patents), with the ability to apply these principles in a dynamic environment.Extensive knowledge of cGMP compliance across EU and global regions.Proven proficiency in project and program management.Experienced in leading cross-functional teams.Exceptional interpersonal skills.Skilled at managing and resolving conflicts.Demonstrated strategic thinking and effective problem-solving.Experience:Minimum 5 years in the supply chain, procurement, contract manufacturing or external operations in the pharmaceutical industryDemonstrated experience in independently overseeing strategic suppliers, outsourcing partners, or contract manufacturers.Experience with KPI’s and supplier scorecards, risk management frameworksExperience in negotiations and contract managementEducation: Higher education in chemistry, pharmaceutical, supply chain management, business administration, engineering or related field
