This person should be comfortable working closely with department managers, handling first-round candidate outreach and screening, ensuring company policies align with local labor laws and best practices in India, and communicating workforce insights to leadership in both India and the U.S.Role OverviewWe are seeking an HR Manager – Recruitment, Compliance & Operations to lead core HR functions for our growing organization in Coimbatore. This role will be responsible for managing the employee lifecycle from hiring through offboarding, supporting managers across departments, reviewing and maintaining HR policies for local compliance, and ensuring a professional, organized, and scalable HR operation.The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, confident in handling recruitment and compliance responsibilities, and capable of building strong relationships with leadership and hiring managers. This role will also own employee survey programs, help surface actionable feedback, and coordinate follow-through with department leaders based on survey findings.Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & HiringManage end-to-end coordination of recruitment across multiple departments.Conduct first-round candidate outreach, screening calls, and initial interviews.Assess candidate fit based on role requirements, communication skills, professionalism, and alignment with company expectations.Coordinate technical and department-specific interviews with hiring managers.Maintain organized candidate pipelines, interview feedback, and hiring status updates.Work closely with managers to understand hiring needs, timelines, and role expectations.Support job posting creation, candidate communication, scheduling, and offer coordination.HR Compliance & Policy ManagementReview, update, and maintain company HR policies to ensure compliance with applicable local laws and regulations in India and Tamil Nadu.Evaluate policies related to leave, attendance, employee conduct, onboarding, offboarding, documentation, and workplace practices.Recommend updates to ensure policies remain practical, compliant, and aligned with business operations.Help ensure HR records, employee documentation, and internal procedures are maintained properly and consistently.Partner with leadership to reduce HR and compliance risk through strong process ownership and documentation.Onboarding & OffboardingOwn and manage onboarding processes for new hires across departments.Ensure all joining documentation, policy acknowledgements, and required HR steps are completed accurately and on time.Coordinate with managers and internal stakeholders to create a smooth onboarding experience.Manage offboarding procedures, including documentation, exit coordination, asset tracking support, and process completion.Help ensure employee transitions are handled professionally, consistently, and securely.Employee Surveys & Organizational FeedbackOwn the planning, administration, and follow-through of employee survey programs, including monthly pulse surveys and annual company-wide engagement surveys.Ensure survey processes are organized, timely, confidential, and designed to generate actionable feedback.Analyze survey results and identify key themes, trends, risks, and opportunities across teams and departments.Prepare clear summaries and communicate survey findings, insights, and recommended actions to the President in India and the CEO in the U.S.Coordinate with department managers to develop and track action items based on survey feedback.Help drive accountability for improvements by following up on agreed changes and monitoring progress over time.Support leadership in using employee feedback to improve engagement, communication, retention, and team effectiveness.Cross-Department HR OperationsInterface with managers across multiple departments to support hiring, employee matters, and process consistency.Act as a key point of contact for operational HR processes and employee lifecycle coordination.Build and improve HR workflows that support a growing and structured organization.Track HR activities, hiring progress, onboarding status, survey action items, and key administrative requirements.Support leadership with practical HR organization, follow-through, and process discipline.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.5+ years of experience in HR, recruitment, HR operations, or HR generalist roles.Strong experience in recruitment coordination and candidate screening.Practical experience reviewing or working with HR policies, leave policies, and compliance-related HR procedures.Experience managing onboarding and offboarding processes.Experience administering employee surveys, engagement feedback programs, or similar HR initiatives.Strong understanding of employment-related practices and labor law considerations in India.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively with managers and leadership across different departments.Ability to analyze feedback, summarize findings, and communicate recommendations clearly to senior leadership.Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting a growing company with multiple teams or departments.Experience building or improving HR processes and documentation.Familiarity with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, survey tools, and standard HR documentation workflows.Experience in IT services, managed services, technology, or operationally driven
