From our earliest days as a pioneer of modern transportation, we have sought to make the world a better place – one that benefits lives, communities and the planetJob Title: DevOps SpecialistLocation: ChennaiWork Type: OnsitePosition Description:Employees in this job function are responsible for building, testing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools for software/ code development, deployment and release.They also help the organization speed up and automate aspects of the software lifecycle through a series of DevOps practices and processesKey Responsibilities:Imbibe DevOps methodology and practices across the product lifecycle for various software componentsAccelerate software releases while ensuring security and mitigating the risk of failed/ recalled software releasesEnsure increase in cycle speed between feedback from end-user to an updated software by leveraging continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous feedbackAssess current systems and processes, and identify and implement ways to improve themUtilize platform and enterprise tools and infrastructure to facilitate DevOps methodology and approachAssist code/ software releases and deployments in various environments like production, testing, sandbox etc.Identify and spearhead creation of automation and innovation opportunities throughout the software product lifecycleSkills Required:Ability to communicate and work with cross-functional teams and all levels of management ,Big Query,, GitHub, API, AI/ML, CI/CD, ScriptingSkills Preferred:AIPGEEExperience Required:Specialist Exp: 5+ experience in relevant fieldExperience Preferred:Technical Proficiency:Experience in software development tools and a track record of modernizing technology, including cloud migrations and Enterprise Technology Refresh (ETR) initiatives for tools like SonarQube, Jenkins, GitHub Actions etc.CI/CD Expertise: Demonstrates a strong ability to improve continuous integration through automation of the delivery pipeline.Automation and Scripting: Utilize scripting languages to automate large-scale data migration tasks.Code Analysis: Use SonarQube (or similar source code analyzers) to ensure code quality and identify potential vulnerabilities.Software Development: Java knowledge or experience to software development tasks. Utilize Spring/Spring boot knowledge to develop and maintain applications.Cloud and Container Technologies: Work with Container as a Service (CaaS), Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Linux, WebSphere Application Server (WAS), and VM environments.Agile Mindset: Embodies an agile personality and a software craftsmanship mindset, contributing to the success of agile projects by actively participating in daily stand-up meetings, backlog grooming, prioritization efforts, and iteration planning sessions.Collaboration and Prioritization: Works effectively with Product Development Organization (PDO) teams to prioritize, plan, and deliver software that meets business needs.Service Delivery and Compliance: Delivers services within agreed-upon service levels, adheres to processes as per IT Security Policy, and provides comprehensive audit support.Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinates seamlessly with various teams in IT, Enterprise Connectivity, and Product Development to ensure objectives are met efficiently.Process Improvement: Proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes and enhance the efficiency of data handling.Customer Focus: Works closely with Product team customers to understand their needs and translate requests into actionable backlog items and user stories.Education Required:Bachelor's DegreeEducation Preferred:Master's DegreeTekWissen® Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
