We are building cutting-edge robotic solutions that help farmers improve productivity while reducing chemical usage and environmental impact.Role OverviewWe are looking for a passionate and hands-on Test Engineer who will be responsible for durability, reliability, and performance testing of robotic systems in real agricultural environments.In this role, you will work closely with product, engineering, and production teams to validate system performance, identify failures, and ensure our robots meet high safety and quality standards before deployment.Key ResponsibilitiesField Testing & ValidationConduct agricultural field durability and performance testing of robotic systems.Execute end-to-end system validation in real farm conditions.Travel to testing locations including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Punjab for seasonal crop testing.Test Planning & ExecutionPrepare and execute Design Verification Plans (DVP) aligned with project timelines.Develop test cases, validation plans, and test environments for mechanical, electrical, software and system-level testing.Identify test equipment requirements and ensure proper testing setup.Failure Analysis & Root Cause InvestigationIdentify, track, and analyze bugs, errors, and system failures.Perform root cause analysis and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.Manage ORC (Open Root Cause) tracking and closure.Cross-functional CollaborationCollaborate with software, electronics, and mechanical teams to diagnose failures.Work closely with production teams to understand product specifications and manufacturing constraints.Align testing strategy with customer requirements and deployment plans.Quality & Process ImprovementInspect materials, components, and machinery to detect defects.Monitor production stages to ensure compliance with safety procedures.Suggest design improvements and process optimizations.Develop test rigs and automated testing processes for repeated validation.Ensure compliance with industry quality standards (e.g., ISO).Requirements & SkillsDegree/ Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Electrical Engineering5+ years of experience in Product Testing or System TestingStrong understanding of System Requirements and Product SpecificationsExperience with FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)Ability to derive test cases from PDS (Product design specification) and FMEAHands-on experience with test equipment and validation toolsExperience in System Integration TestingUnderstanding of quality metrics such as yield, defect rate, and process capabilityPractical experience in testing robotics systems or tractor/agricultural implementsStrong problem-solving and root cause analysis skillsAbility to work in field environments and travel for testingWork Location: Devanahalli, Rural Bangalore
