Title: PS Technical Lead – Mainframe Modernization ExpertLocation: BangaloreReports to: Sr. Director, Professional Services, IndiaThe Person: The chosen person will be a hands-on, organized and highly energetic self-starter with proven ability to design solution, product implementation, enhance custom features and solutions, to do detailed analysis of results and do customer presentations.As a Lead, you are an integral part of a skilled team that works to enhance and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various Cloud migration and Modernization functions in support of the firm’s business objectivesThe Role: Working closely with the Professional Services Team, he/she will be responsible for success of the CAST product deployment with the assigned clients. This success will be in part measured by the ability of deployed CAST solution to support the client in analysis of a wide variety of their applications developed in diverse technologies that are prevalent in a typical software house. He/She should be able to mentor and coach customer team members in deploying and running CAST solution, prepare action plans based on CAST analysis results, help customers in realizing business benefits of CAST implementation in a time-bound manner and prioritize activities in an ever changing, dynamic landscape. He/she will need to focus efforts to establish a value measurement program to track and identify business value for identified projects to use a template approach to drive value in engagement the clients involved and thereby, help support sales teams in renewals and expansions of the contracts that they support.Profile and qualifications:The candidate shall below skills and qualifications•Proficiency in IBM Z-series mainframes, z/OS, and associated tools.•Knowledge of CICS, IMS, DB2, RACF, and other mainframe subsystems.•Experience with programming languages such as COBOL, RPG, CL, Java, and Python.•Knowledge of middleware (MQ, CICS), APIs, and integration frameworks.•Hands-on experience with DevOps tools for mainframe (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Ansible).•Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud for hybrid architectures.•Expertise in COBOL, Assembler, PL/I, JCL, REXX, and CLIST.•Experience with tools like z/VM, z/Linux, z/TPF, and MQ.•Use of monitoring tools like MainView, OMEGAMON, or similar.•Deep understanding of mainframe databases like DB2, VSAM, and IMS DB.•Familiarity with SNA, TCP/IP, VTAM, and modern communication protocols.Other qualifications:Bachelors Technical Degree (B.Tech or B.E)10+ years in mainframe systems and/or IBM I platform roles.Extensive experience in designing and deploying enterprise-grade solutions in industries like finance, healthcare, and manufacturing.Proven track record of successful legacy modernization projects.This profile emphasizes a balance of technical depth, strategic thinking, and the ability to adapt to evolving technology landscapes.Experience in pre-sales / post sales products / solutions offerings preferably through past experiences including but not limited to working on partner COTS products, creation of joint offerings, RFI/RFPs cycle, deal defense and smart prospecting.Willingness and ability to travel locally in India.Compensation and Evolution:Commensurate with the seniority of the role, a competitive salary package with benefits will be paid. The level will be determined by the successful candidate’s experience as well as their home base.
