About/ Summary (of Centre or Project): The Motilal Oswal Centre for Capital Markets (MOCCM) has been established to lead research in capital markets in addition to offering degree and certificate programmes in financial markets. The Centre aims to advance knowledge, innovation, and leadership for the sustainable growth of financial markets.Job Purpose:We are looking for a versatile Marketing, Communications & Events Manager who is ready to roll up their sleeves and build. You will not just manage the brand; you will create it.This is a hands-on execution role. You will be designing the brochures, running the webinars, and engaging with stakeholders directly, with limited reliance on external agencies.This is an ideal launchpad for an aspirational professional who wants to demonstrate they can build a brand from the ground up at an institution like IIT Bombay.Key Responsibilities:1. High impact event management:End-to-end execution: Plan and execute flagship symposiums, industry roundtables, and webinar series from concept to closure.Logistics: Manage venue booking, vendor negotiation, and on-ground logistics to ensure zero-glitch delivery.Speaker coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for industry leaders and academic experts, ensuring a professional experience for all guests.2. Brand building & digital presence: Social media management: Manage the MOCCM LinkedIn and Twitter/X handles. Create engaging content (posts, event snippets, thought leadership summaries) to grow our follower base and engagement.In-house design: You will be the primary creator for visual assets. This includes designing event flyers, social media creatives, brochures, and email banners using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.Digital outreach: Manage promotion for certificate courses to ensure high-quality registrations.Digital storytelling: Create and edit short-form content (e.g., short video snippets from webinars) to maintain an active and engaging digital presence.3. Project coordination & stakeholder management:Navigating the ecosystem: Act as the bridge between MOCCM and IIT Bombay’s internal departments (Estate, Security, Accounts) to get approvals and permissions swiftly.Vendor management: Onboard and manage creative agencies, printers, and event partners, ensuring all paperwork complies with Institute norms (as required).Reporting: Maintain data on event participation, social media metrics, and budget utilization for review by the Program Director. Draft press releases and email newsletters to update stakeholders on Centre’s activities.Desired Profile:Qualification: Minimum bachelor’s degree (any discipline).Experience: 3-4 years of relevant experience. We value /"doers/" over /"managers/".Design proficiency: High proficiency in Canva (and/or similar tools) is mandatory. Basic skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, or video editing tools are a strong advantage.Tech savvy: Comfortable managing webinar platforms (Zoom/Teams), registration tools (Google Forms/Luma), and social media dashboards.Communication: Strong written and spoken English. You must be able to write professional correspondence to CEOs and Professors./"Hustle/" mindset: You are comfortable designing a poster in the morning, chasing a file in the admin building in the afternoon, and running an industry event in the evening.Disclaimer: The position is contractual for a period of 1 year but renewable as per Institute’s guidelines and tenable only for the duration of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
