Article Trainee – Startups, AI & Modern FinanceC S D & Co. is a modern Chartered Accountancy firm based in Gurugram working at the intersection of finance, startups and technology.We work closely with AI companies, deep-tech startups, venture-backed businesses and growing corporates, supporting them across finance transformation, virtual CFO services, corporate structuring, taxation and fundraising support.Unlike traditional CA firms, our focus is on technology-driven finance and strategic advisory, working directly with founders and leadership teams.Our clients include high-growth startups, B2B companies and HNIs across multiple industries.Website: Role OverviewWe are looking for a high-energy CA Article Trainee who wants exposure beyond routine compliance and is interested in learning how modern finance works in startups and technology companies.The role will involve working closely with the partners and team on audit, taxation, startup finance, MIS, fundraising processes and AI-enabled accounting workflows.This role is ideal for candidates who want to build careers in startup finance, consulting, investment banking.Key ResponsibilitiesStartup Finance & Advisory• Working with AI, SaaS and high-growth startups on finance operations and compliance• Preparing MIS reports, financial dashboards and business performance analysis• Assisting in fundraising support, financial modelling and investor documentation• Supporting founders with finance structuring and reportingAudit & Assurance• Assisting in statutory audits and tax audits• Preparing audit documentation and financial reporting schedules• Exposure to internal controls, RCMs and process reviewsTaxation & Compliance• Supporting direct taxation reviews and advisory assignments• Handling GST compliance including GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C• Working on tax filings, reconciliations and litigation supportTechnology Driven Finance• Working with AI-enabled accounting tools and automation workflows• Exposure to modern accounting stacks (Zoho, cloud accounting systems, analytics tools)• Supporting development of technology-driven finance processesWhat You Will GainUnlike traditional article roles focused only on compliance, this role provides exposure to:• Startup ecosystem and founder-led businesses• Fundraising processes and venture capital documentation• Financial modelling and MIS reporting• Technology-driven accounting and AI in finance• Direct interaction with founders, CFOs and startup teams• Practical exposure to modern finance operationsThis role is designed to provide strong exposure to the evolving finance ecosystem beyond traditional CA practice.Qualifications• CA Intermediate – Both Groups Cleared• Strong understanding of accounting and direct taxation• Interest in startups, technology and finance advisory• Ability to conduct research and analytical work• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office• Working knowledge of Tally / Zoho Books• Curiosity and willingness to learn AI tools and modern finance technologyWhat We Offer• Competitive stipend with performance-based bonus• Exposure to startup ecosystem and venture-backed companies• Learning environment focused on modern finance and advisory• Opportunity to work directly with partners and founders
