Job Description

About IndusIndus is the platform for investing in India’s growth. We make it simple for people living outside India to invest in Indian equity markets. We’re live in New Zealand with 15,000+ users, clear product-market fit, and are rapidly expanding into new, much larger markets. We’re backed by Zerodha through Rainmatter. We’re a small, high-ownership team. From operations to content to performance, the company runs on AI-native workflows. We don’t hire large teams. We hire exceptional people and give them the tools to operate at scale. In fintech, trust is everything. That trust gets built on the ground, through real relationships with communities on-ground. Community partnerships are a core part of how we grow.India’s growth is personal to us. We’re here to play a part in it by building the infrastructure to help the world participate in it.The RoleMost acquisition is digital, and digital is what provides scale. But in finance and especially in a world where AI is making digital content indistinguishable — the thing that actually converts is trust built on ground through community driven activities. This role exists because of that conviction. You’re the person who takes Indus into communities, builds the partnerships and relationships that make people trust us, and turns that trust into users. You own the strategy and execution across community partnerships, influencer relationships, and on-ground engagement across New Zealand, Australia, and future markets. The goal is positioning Indus as the way to access India’s growth — and making us the trusted thought leader in that space. This is a foundational role, and you’ll work closely with the Co-Founder.What You’ll Own•      Community partnership strategy and execution — Indian diaspora associations, cultural organisations, professional networks, and other communities with an interest in investing in India.•      Influencer and creator sourcing, outreach, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management.•      Managing the influencer content pipeline — briefing, reviewing, approving, and scheduling deliverables.•      Organising and executing webinars, seminars, meetups, and collaborative community events.•      Coordinating the Co-Founder’s appearances at community events and positioning them as thought leadership opportunities.•      Building and maintaining partnerships with key individuals — community leaders, diaspora figures, professionals at international companies — who can open doors in each market.•      Ensuring every community we work with feels genuinely looked after and sees Indus as a long-term partner, not a transactional advertiser.Who You AreA people person with hustle. You’ve built relationships with individuals— whether through influencer programmes, community partnerships, event series, webinars, or some combination. You know how to cold-outreach, negotiate and follow through.Culturally curious. You take a genuine interest in different cultures. You’ve probably traveled, lived in different places, or grown up around diversity. You understand that talking to someone from a Gujarati business association is different from talking to a Kiwi expat investor and you know how to adapt. You don’t need to be from the Indian diaspora, but you do need to understand what makes different communities tick. You enjoy seeing things through. You own the execution end to end. You understand how community and partnership work rolls up into the larger organisation’s goals, and you know how to measure what you’re doing. You’ve built digital communities too — Facebook groups, Reddit forums, online spaces —An excellent communicator. You will work with communities remotely. You need to build and maintain trust across time zones, keep communities engaged, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks, all without being in the same room as the people you build relationships with everyday.Excited about AI. You see the opportunity to use AI to automate the operational side of community management — outreach, reporting, scheduling, pipeline tracking — so you can spend your time on the thing that actually matters: the relationships. Why Indus•      Traction. Proven product-market fit with a direct gameplan to scale.•      Backing. Backed by Zerodha through Rain Matter.•      Growth. You’ll work closely with the Co-Founder.•      Infrastructure. AI-native from day one — you’ll have the workflows and infrastructure to operate at a level most growth teams can’t.•      Integral Part Of Our Journey. Community is how we build the foundation that everything else scales on.If shortlisted, you’ll be sent a short form. If you don’t hear from us, feel free to apply directly here:
