Job Title: Individual Contributor HR/ExecutiveDepartment: Human ResourcesIndustry: Gems & Jewellery / Luxury RetailExperience Required: 4-7 years (preferably within Gems & Jewellery / Luxury Retail sector)Location: Kala Ghoda (Near Gateway of India)Reporting To: DirectorRole Overview:The IC/HR Executive will manage end-to-end HR functions for both manufacturing and retail operations of Mehta & Sons, a premium jewellery brand delving into bespoke and high-end jewellery. The role involves overseeing talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, HR compliance, training, and HR operations while ensuring alignment with the organization’s luxury brand culture and operational standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in retail workforce management, jewellery manufacturing HR practices, and employee lifecycle management within the luxury retail environment.Key Responsibilities:1.    Talent Acquisition & Workforce PlanningØ Setup a recruitment SOP for the company, with clear timelines and systems for manpower requirements.Ø Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for retail stores, corporate office, and manufacturing unitsØ Partner with department heads to understand manpower requirements and set up workforce planning & budgets for management to review.Ø Source, screen, and shortlist candidates through job portals, recruitment agencies, and professional networksØ Coordinate interviews and ensure smooth onboarding of new hires.2.    Employee Lifecycle ManagementØ Handle onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit formalitiesØ Maintain and update employee records and HR documentationØ Ensure a smooth employee experience throughout the lifecycle3.    Performance ManagementØ Implement and monitor the Performance Management System (PMS)Ø Assist managers in goal setting, performance reviews, and development plansØ Track employee performance and support performance improvement initiativesØ Set up PIP wherever required.4.    Training & DevelopmentØ Identify training needs across manufacturing and retail teamsØ Coordinate training programs including product knowledge, sales excellence, customer service, and leadership developmentØ Create a detailed training plan with management to upskill employees functionally and holisticallyØ Monitor training effectiveness and employee skill development5.    Employee Engagement & CultureØ Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, motivation, and retention.Ø Organize engagement activities, recognition programs, and internal communication initiativesØ Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with luxury retail brand valuesØ Handle grievancesØ Maintain incident reports & process audits6.    HR Operations & ComplianceØ Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory regulations applicable to manufacturing and retailØ Maintain HR policies and ensure adherence across departmentsØ Coordinate with payroll, attendance, and leave management processes7.    HR Analytics & ReportingØ Prepare HR reports including attrition, recruitment metrics, manpower analysis, and engagement indicatorsØ Provide insights and recommendations to HR leadership8.    Retail HR SupportØ Manage HR needs for store operations, including staffing, scheduling, and performance monitoringØ Support retail expansion projects with manpower planning and hiringØ Support event organizations and retail projects as and when required.Key Skills & CompetenciesØ Strong understanding of HR practices in luxury retail or jewellery manufacturingØ Excellent recruitment and talent acquisition skillsØ Knowledge of labour laws and statutory complianceØ Strong communication and interpersonal skillsØ Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and retail teamsØ Proficiency in HRMS systems and MS OfficeØ High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrityØ Strategic thinking and a proactive attitude toward ownership.Ø Willingness to learn and explore cross functional projects.Educational QualificationsØ MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalentØ Preferred certification in HR analytics, labour laws, or talent managementPreferred Industry ExperienceCandidates with experience in luxury retail or gems & jewellery organizationsCandidates with experience in mid-size family managed companies.
