About AMPIN Solar OneAMPIN Solar One Private Limited is a Joint Venture between AMPIN Energy Transition and Jupiter International Limited, established to set up a greenfield manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 1.2 GW of solar cells and 1.6 GW of solar modules. The facility, located in Odisha, is part of the Government of India’s PLI Tranche–II Scheme.Role SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Manager/AGM - Procurement to lead sourcing and procurement of Bill of Materials (BOM) for Solar Cell and Module manufacturing. The role will focus on strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost optimization, and ensuring uninterrupted supply of critical materials aligned with production and business objectives.Career PropositionBe part of a strategic greenfield renewable energy venture under the Government of India’s PLI Tranche–II scheme.Work in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment backed by industry leaders.Opportunity to play a key role in setting up procurement processes for a large-scale solar manufacturing facility.Competitive compensation with performance-driven incentives.Collaborative, innovation-driven, and sustainability-focused culture.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end procurement of Solar Cell & Module BOM components (e.g., wafers, glass, EVA, backsheets, frames, junction boxes, silver paste, etc.).Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to ensure cost competitiveness, quality, and timely availability of materials.Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and domestic suppliers; build strong and sustainable supplier relationships.Drive price negotiations, contract finalization, and long-term agreements with key vendors.Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to align procurement with product specifications and evolving technologies (PERC, TOPCon, etc.).Monitor supplier performance, ensure compliance with quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Implement procurement strategies supporting lean inventory and just-in-time (JIT) delivery models.Track global market trends, raw material price movements, and policy changes impacting supply chains.Ensure smooth coordination with logistics, finance, and stores for timely delivery, invoicing, and inventory management.Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and alternate sourcing initiatives.Financial & Risk ManagementManage procurement budgets and contribute to overall cost optimization and margin improvement.Mitigate supply chain risks through diversification of suppliers, contract safeguards, and proactive planning.Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications & SkillsB.Tech / B.E. with an MBA (Operations / Supply Chain / Finance preferred).13+ years of experience in procurement, with significant exposure to Solar Cell & Module BOM sourcing with at least 3 years in solar PV or semiconductor manufacturing.Strong understanding of solar manufacturing processes, materials, and global supply chains.Proven track record in vendor development, strategic sourcing, and cost optimization.Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and analytical skills.Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement/contract management tools.Certifications in Supply Chain, Lean, or Six Sigma will be an added advantage.
