Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Competent Author (CA) to support repair and overhaul activities for gas turbine components. The role involves authoring repair tasks, supporting MRO capability transfers, and ensuring compliance with engine manuals, special processes, and industry standards. The candidate will work closely with Engineering for Services (EFS) teams to deliver effective repair solutions within the Repair and Overhaul service lines.Key ResponsibilitiesApply basic principles of Gas Turbine engine operation to support component repair and overhaul activities.Author and define repair tasks with technical substantiation while functioning as a Competent Author (CA).Support MRO teams in transferring repair capability from existing sources to new facilities or locations.Collaborate with Engineering for Services (EFS) to ensure timely delivery of repair and overhaul solutions.Review and apply engine manuals, cleaning and inspection procedures, and overhaul documentation to ensure repairs follow approved processes.Interpret and implement special process manuals for engine and component repair activities.Evaluate components for reusability, repair requirements, and compliance with tolerances and specifications.Perform and supervise complex repair processes ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.Apply GD&T principles in inspection, analysis, and repair of engine components.Provide technical guidance and oversight for repair and overhaul operations.Preferred ExperienceExperience working in MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) environments.Prior experience as a Competent Author (CA).QualificationBachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Aerospace / Production Engineering or related discipline.
