Key Responsibilities1. Engineering & MaintenanceLead overall preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery, process equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.Ensure maximum equipment uptime, reliability, and optimal performance across all production units.Develop and implement maintenance strategies, SOPs, TPM, RCA, and continuous improvement initiatives.Monitor maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, downtime, maintenance cost, and energy efficiency.2. Utilities & Boiler OperationsOversee operation and maintenance of boilers, thermic fluid heaters, compressors, chillers, cooling towers, ETP, STP, RO, DG sets, HVAC, and other utilities.Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of boilers as per Boiler Act and Inspectorate regulations.3. Projects & CAPEX ManagementPlan and execute greenfield, brownfield, expansion, debottlenecking, and modernization projects.Handle end-to-end project lifecycle – concept, feasibility, budgeting, vendor selection, execution, commissioning, and handover.Manage CAPEX planning, budgeting, cost control, and timeline adherence.4. Compliance, Safety & StatutoryEnsure compliance with Factories Act, Boiler Act, Electrical Inspectorate, PESO, Fire & Safety, Pollution Control Board, and other statutory norms.Work closely with EHS teams to maintain high safety standards and zero-accident culture.Lead audits (internal, external, customer, statutory) related to engineering and utilities.5. People Management & Capability BuildingLead, mentor, and develop the engineering, maintenance, utility, and project teams.Build a strong succession plan and enhance technical capability of the team.Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong expertise in maintenance management, utilities, boilers, and industrial projects.Hands-on experience in process industry / food / FMCG / chemical plants.Project management, budgeting, and vendor negotiation skills.Familiarity with TPM, CMMS, energy management systems, and automation is an advantage.Educational QualificationB.E./B.Tech in MechanicalAdditional qualifications in Boiler Operation, Energy Management, PMP, or similar will be an advantage.Experience14–20 years of overall experience in Engineering & Maintenance.Minimum 5–8 years in a senior leadership role managing large manufacturing facilities and projects.
