(Mechanical /Automobile/ Mechatronic)Experience: > 5 yearsLocation: PunePurpose of the Position:Steering and control of the electric, hybrid & alternate fuel Powertrain portfolio strategy ensuring successful delivery of the business objectives. To manage and coordinate all project review and tracking activities belonging to electric, hybrid & alternate fuel Powertrain and components to meet future Indian product and manufacturing requirements. Coordinating of Sub-group, Organize the cooperation with external partners and suppliersAuthority:1. SET Management.2. Represent EP in Cross functional forum3. Assign the SET related task to functional team, tracking and monitoring of tasks.4. Ensure observance of the project time line and mile stones for the parts within SET A scopeSkills Required:Self-starting, self-motivation, working with little guidance with good analytical skills.Ability to think in a wider scope, ability to plan and develop a structure.Excellent communication skills, English in written and verbal form, German / Czech Language Proficiency would be an added advantage.Deep Technical analysis, problem solving and understanding of overall Engine and Powertrain components and systems, including associated development and validation testingA Deep understanding of Indian Automobile market, vehicles, customer, product and manufacturing requirements and an ability to motivate and reason for it.Project and Time Management along with Quality Consciousness.MS Office and project management tools.Responsibilities and Tasks:Coordination of all electric, hybrid & alternate fuel Powertrain projects. Establish and manage the SAVW India Powertrain strategy considering domestic and export market and relevant legislative requirements, in conjunction with VW Group strategyTo lead all electric, hybrid & alternate fuel powertrain management organization, ensuring alignment with counterpart department in Group. Representation of the ŠAVW IPL in the Powertrain and Chassis committeesBudget / capacity management of all electric, hybrid & alternate fuel powertrain related projects and responsible teams including investment, head count, DLV.Ensure adherence to the Product Development Process (PEP) guidelines, achievement of respective milestones (technical and budgetary) within the stipulated time period of all SAVW car projects and with the desired results. Identify risks and corrective actionsConduct regular cross functional project team meetings, facilitate discussions team wise, interdepartmental, development consultants/suppliers and Skoda MB to arrive at best solutions for products and company. Monitoring work distributed within team. Represent the department in management meetings. Resolve technical Issues/conflict between two different teams.Continuously seek, identify and co-ordinate new Indian technologies / development opportunities based on competitor/market trends, customer requirements, Supplier inputs and Manufacturing requirements.Develop internal capability to ensure robust compliance with Group processes and legislative requirements, particularly in the area of Performance, Emissions and CO2 and Vehicle Safety.
