Job Title: Senior Associate – Legal (Arbitration - Contracts)Location: ChemburEmployment Type: Full-timeExperience: 5–7 years (Post Qualification Experience)Industry: Legal Services / Law Firm / Dispute ResolutionJob Overview:We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate – Legal to manage arbitration matters and commercial contract advisory for our clients. The role requires strong expertise in arbitration proceedings, contract drafting, and dispute resolution. The candidate will be responsible for independently handling arbitration cases, supporting litigation arising out of arbitration, and providing strategic legal advice to clients.Key Responsibilities:Handle end-to-end arbitration proceedings, including drafting pleadings, statements of claim, defense, and written submissionsRepresent and assist in matters before arbitral tribunals and courts in arbitration-related proceedingsDraft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including MSAs, SLAs, NDAs, and other business agreementsProvide legal advisory to clients by identifying risks and recommending practical legal solutionsManage arbitration-related court matters such as Section 9, 11, 34, and 37 petitionsCoordinate with clients, experts, external counsel, and internal stakeholders on case strategyReview legal documentation and ensure compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligationsSupport contract lifecycle management and compliance monitoringMentor and guide junior associates and review their legal workMaintain proper documentation, case records, and legal research for ongoing mattersPresent legal strategies and updates to clients and senior management when requiredRequired Skills & Experience:5–7 years of experience in arbitration and commercial contract lawStrong experience in handling arbitration matters independentlyExperience in drafting and reviewing commercial contractsStrong legal research, drafting, and analytical skillsExperience in dispute resolution and arbitration-related litigationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple matters and work independentlyStrong stakeholder management and client handling skillsExperience working with law firms is preferredQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) – MandatoryEnrollment with Bar Council – MandatoryMaster’s degree in Law (LL.M.) – PreferredExperience in infrastructure, real estate, or commercial arbitration is an advantageExposure to international arbitration is a plus
