Role: Network Engineer – Team Lead (On-Site | Navi Mumbai | Night Shift – US Hours)We are hiring for a Network Engineer – Team Lead to drive network architecture, operations, and team leadership for high-density campus and SMB environments. This role combines hands-on expertise in LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi with strong leadership, business alignment, and operational discipline using PSA tools (ConnectWise). You will own the design, performance, security, and reliability of campus networks that support classrooms, learning spaces, BYOD, and large-scale mobility.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop network/support engineers, foster accountability and continuous improvementTranslate institutional and business needs into scalable, secure network solutionsArchitect, deploy, and optimize LAN, WAN, and WLAN (Wi-Fi), including APs, controllers, L2/L3 switches, routers, and firewallsManage advanced configurations: VLANs, segmentation, STP, QoS, DHCP, DNS, OSPF/BGP routing, redundancy & resiliencyEnsure high-density performance and seamless roaming across classrooms, labs, auditoriums, and campus spacesSupport BYOD, e-learning platforms, cloud tools, and high-volume student/staff accessOwn operations through ConnectWise (or similar PSA): ticketing, SLAs, escalations, RCAs, documentation, time logs, project executionBuild dashboards/reports on SLA health, recurring issues, network performance, and project capacityCommunicate complex technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders; create diagrams, SOPs, architecture docsCollaborate closely with global teams, leadership, vendors, and academic stakeholders.Travel to U.S as per business requirements for project oversight or large implementations, if any.Must-Have SkillsStrong L2/L3 networking: VLANs, segmentation, QoS, DHCP, DNS, STP, OSPF, BGPProven experience managing high-density campus Wi-Fi at scaleHands-on expertise with APs, switches, routers, firewalls, WAN connectivityDeep troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity analysisExperience with ConnectWise Manage or other PSA/ITSM toolsMinimum 3+ years leading or mentoring technical teamsStrong communication, documentation, and stakeholder alignmentBusiness-first, process-driven, and highly structured mindsetPreferred QualificationsCCNP, Fortinet NSE, Sonicwall, Aruba ACMP/ACDP, Juniper, Meraki, Ubiquiti, or equivalent certificationsExperience in K–12 schools, universities, or campus learning environmentsExposure to NAC, SD-WAN, cloud-managed networking, or automationExperience designing networks for large-scale mobility and educational environmentsSuccess IndicatorsNetworks that directly support business & learning outcomesHigh availability, strong security posture, and scalable performanceClear team ownership, process discipline, and SLA complianceReduction in recurring issues through proactive improvementsStrong confidence from users, IT leadership, and academic stakeholdersWork Expectations
