Title: Senior Windows System AdministratorExperience: 8 to 12 yrs (L3 Support) Work Location: Chennai Mode of Work: All 5 days work from office Shift Timing: 08:30 PM to 04:30 AM (Pick & Drop facility will be provided) Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the tier-3 escalation point for junior system administrators and help resolve complex technical issues.Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and other core Microsoft services.Oversee all internal servers running on Windows—ensuring uptime, performance optimization, backups, and patch management.Implement process improvements, operational standards, and documentation for internal IT operations.Ensure exceptional customer service and timely resolution for internal user needs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure reliability and supportability.Administer and maintain tools such as Freshservice for ticketing, asset management, and workflows.Support and troubleshoot Linux servers or components when required.Participate in GitLab administration including user management, permissions, and basic CI/CD troubleshooting.Provide after-hours or night-shift support when needed (rotational or assigned schedule). Required Qualifications5–8+ years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or similar role.Strong expertise with Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory.Demonstrated experience in supporting internal IT users in a mid- to large-scale organization.Proven ability to act as an escalation engineer and guide junior administrators.Excellent troubleshooting skills and customer-centric communication.Experience creating SOPs, improving workflows, and implementing efficient processes.Familiarity with Freshservice or similar ITSM tools.Ability to work night shifts or flexible schedules as required. Preferred SkillsExperience with Linux server administration.GitLab administration knowledge.Knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).PowerShell scripting for automation.Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls).Proxmox virtualization and Puppet and Linux admin are also a huge part of the job.Cultural fit is also important for the role.
