About Us & The Project We are a small, ambitious team building a session-based, multiplayeropen-world game where players join a lobby and explore 1:1 scale real-life cities together. Weare launching VR-first with plans to scale to PC and Console.We need a visionary Lead Gameplay Designer to define the moment-to-moment /"fun factor/" ofexploring these cities.The Core Mandate: You are responsible for the mechanics that turn a city walk into a highlyengaging gameplay experience. You will define the /"fun/" of exploration, interaction, andcooperation.Key Responsibilities:Exploration Verbs: Design and tune primary movement and interaction mechanics(climbing, searching, scanning, gadget use) so they feel tactile in VR and snappy onPC/Console.Engagement Loops: Create micro-interactions within the city (hidden lore, environmentalpuzzles, dynamic events) that actively reward player curiosity.Cooperative Tasks: Design lobby-based tasks that require genuine player coordination—moving beyond simple /"press a button to win/" mechanics.The /"Feel/" (Juice): Collaborate with our team to ensure every interaction providessatisfying visual and audio feedback, making exploration inherently rewarding.Mentorship: Guide and support a other developers, helping them implement your designseffectively in Unity.Requirements:Minimum 5 Years Experience: You must have at least one shipped title with a heavyemphasis on exploration, environmental interaction, or complex character controllers.Mechanics Specialist: A proven track record of designing character controllers orinteraction systems praised for their responsiveness and /"feel./"Cross-Input Design: The ability to translate complex VR hand-interactions into intuitivekeyboard/gamepad layouts without losing the soul of the mechanic.Unity Implementation: Highly comfortable prototyping mechanics directly in Unity (VisualScripting or C#) to find the /"fun/" early in the greybox phase.Psychology of Play: A deep understanding of player motivation, pacing, and rewardstructures within an open-world setting.
