This role requires a strong hands-on technology leader with a proven track record in enterprise product engineering, large-scale delivery, and modernization across global banking clients.While experience in Trade Finance or Supply Chain Finance is valuable, we are equally open to leaders with strong experience in Core Banking, Lending, or Transaction Banking platforms, provided they bring deep engineering rigor and delivery excellence.This role sits at the intersection of technology, product, and global delivery, with a strong focus on engineering quality, platform scalability, and predictable execution.Key Responsibilities1. Engineering & Architecture LeadershipLead and mentor large high-performing engineering teams across Backend, Frontend, DevOps, QA, SRE, Data & Cloud.Review and guide architecture decisions, high-risk code areas, and performance bottlenecks.Institutionalize engineering excellence — clean code, DevSecOps, SRE, observability, performance, scalability, and VAPT.2. Product & Platform OwnershipOwn and drive the technology roadmap for banking platforms (Core Banking, Lending, or Transaction Banking).Ensure systems are designed for high performance, configurability, and enterprise-grade reliability.3. Delivery Governance & Client SuccessEnd-to-end delivery responsibility across multiple programs and global markets.Define predictable delivery governance — release cadence, velocity, throughput, defect density, and production stability.Act as a senior delivery escalation and decision-making authority with CXO/client leadership.4. Modernization & TransformationLead the modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.Drive transformation initiatives to improve system efficiency, scalability, and integration.Enable adoption of modern platforms, tools, and engineering practicesQualifications & Experience20+ years of experience in product engineering and delivery within BFSI.Proven experience leading large engineering and delivery organizations.Strong hands-on expertise in Java, microservices, and distributed systems.Demonstrated success in building and delivering scalable, enterprise-grade platforms.Strong experience in Core Banking, Lending, or Transaction Banking.Strong stakeholder management across product, business, and client teamsLeadership AttributesHigh-ownership execution leader with predictable delivery and strong rigor.Ability to scale teams, processes and platforms during rapid growth and transformation.Operates with urgency, hands-on problem solving and extreme accountability.Clear, transparent communicator who builds trust and alignment across global teams.Why this role is critical?This role will play a key part in driving engineering excellence and delivery transformation across banking platforms, enabling scalable, high-quality solutions for global clients.
