Job Summary:We are seeking a Reporting / Analytics-Focused Data Engineer to support our business intelligence and analytics initiatives. This role is centered on querying, data extraction, reporting, and warehouse-level data modeling, working closely with BI and business stakeholders.While this position is not pipeline-heavy, candidates should be comfortable working with analytical data platforms and supporting reporting systems at scale. Key Responsibilities:· Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analytics, reporting, and ad-hoc analysis· Perform data extraction and transformation to support reporting needs· Support and enhance business intelligence dashboards and recurring reports· Work closely with analytics and business teams to understand reporting requirements· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting layers· Assist in designing and maintaining analytics-friendly data models within the warehouse· Troubleshoot query performance and data quality issues Required Skills:· Advanced SQL expertise, comfortable working with common SQL dialects· Hands-on querying experience with Databricks or similar analytical engines (Snowflake, BigQuery, Presto, or AWS Athena)· Experience working with at least two BI tools (excluding Looker and ThoughtSpot), such as:o Power BI,Tableau, MicroStrategy or other comparable BI platforms· Strong understanding of reporting and analytics workflows in a data warehouse environment
