Remote role (Work from home)Singapore clientOffshore roleWorking hours and public holidays as per Singapore1 yr Renewable contractJob OverviewWe are looking for a Senior System Engineer to provide support, administration, and maintenance of Unix/Linux environments. The role involves ensuring system performance, availability, security, and supporting both BAU operations and project implementations.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux servers (Oracle Solaris 11.x, RHEL 8/9 – Physical & Virtual).Monitor system performance and troubleshoot server, OS, and hardware issues.Perform OS patching, upgrades, and system hardening to ensure security compliance.Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for automation of routine tasks.Provide L2/L3 support and escalation for incidents and problem tickets.Support BAU operations and project implementations across infrastructure environments.Work closely with vendors to resolve hardware/software issues.Manage security vulnerability assessments and remediation.Maintain documentation for system configurations, deployments, and processes.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.Participate in on-call rotation (24/7 support) and maintenance activities.Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams for project delivery and support.Required Skills & Experience3–5 years of experience in Unix/Linux system administrationStrong expertise in:Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9)Oracle Solaris 11.x (including LDOM/Control Domain concepts)Hands-on experience with:Server administration (Physical & Virtual)Patch, configuration, and compliance managementNAS, SAN, backup systems, and infrastructure monitoring toolsExperience in Ansible automationStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience working with enterprise infrastructure environmentsGood to HaveExposure to Windows, VMware, Fusion ComputeExperience in project implementation and project managementStrong vendor management experienceDisclaimer: The company is committed to ensuring the privacy and security of your information.
