Project Manager – Metals Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead capital projects within steel plant operations, including brownfield expansions, debottlenecking projects, and new production lines. The role will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with HSE and quality standards, while coordinating engineering, construction, contractors, and operations teams.  Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end execution of steel plant CAPEX projects from planning to commissioning • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, construction, quality, procurement and operations • Develop project schedules, budgets and execution plans • Monitor project risks, costs, progress and change management • Conduct design reviews, constructability assessments and site problem resolution • Manage contractors and vendor performance across project phases • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards and project governance • Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and stakeholders • Ensure smooth project handover with performance guarantees and operational readiness • Drive continuous improvement and capture lessons learned  Mandatory Skills (Must Have) ✔ 8–12 years of experience managing capital projects in heavy industry / steel plants ✔ Strong Project Leadership managing multi-discipline teams and contractors ✔ Hands-on experience delivering industrial CAPEX projects (brownfield expansions or new production lines) ✔ Working knowledge of steel manufacturing processes such as steelmaking, rolling mills or plant utilities ✔ Strong problem-solving ability in site execution environments ✔ Expertise in project planning, risk management and cost control ✔ Strong stakeholder management and communication skills  Preferred Qualifications • B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering • PMP or PRINCE2 Project Management certification • Experience executing fast-track brownfield projects in operating plants  Key Performance Indicators • Project delivery milestones (MC / RFSU / RFO) • Project cost variance within approved budget • Zero major HSE incidents during execution • Timely punch list closure and project handover  ✔ Ideal Candidate Background Steel Plants | Metals Industry | EPC Projects | Heavy Manufacturing | Power Plants | Refinery Projects | Large Industrial CAPEX Projects
