LocationMumbai / PAN India (Extensive Travel)Reporting ToChief Operating Officer / Head – RenewablesBusinessJSW Energy – Renewable Energy Portfolio (Solar, Wind, Hybrid, Energy Storage)Role PurposeThe Security Head – Renewable Energy will be responsible for end-to-end security governance, risk management, and asset protection for JSW Energy’s renewable energy projects across India. The role will ensure people, asset, infrastructure, and information security across project lifecycle stages—from land acquisition and construction to operations—while aligning with JSW Group security standards and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Security LeadershipDevelop and implement a PAN India security strategy for renewable energy assets aligned with business growth plans.Establish security frameworks, policies, SOPs, and emergency response protocols across all renewable sites.Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on security risks related to land, assets, manpower, and operations.2. Project & Site Security ManagementOversee security planning for solar parks, wind farms, hybrid projects, substations, and transmission infrastructure.Ensure robust security arrangements during land acquisition, construction, commissioning, and O&M phases.Manage risks related to theft, vandalism, sabotage, encroachment, and community-related disturbances.3. Risk Assessment & Incident ManagementConduct periodic security risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and threat perception studies.Lead investigations into security incidents, losses, or breaches and ensure corrective/preventive actions.Coordinate with internal stakeholders during crises, including natural disasters, civil unrest, or operational disruptions.4. Liaison & External Stakeholder ManagementMaintain strong relationships with local administration, police, intelligence agencies, and district authorities across project locations.Represent JSW Energy with government bodies on security-related matters.Manage community interface from a security perspective in coordination with CSR and project teams.5. Vendor & Manpower ManagementEmpanel, onboard, and manage security service providers across multiple states.Ensure adherence to statutory compliance (PSARA, labor laws, minimum wages, etc.).Drive training, performance monitoring, audits, and cost optimization of security services.6. Technology & SurveillanceDrive deployment and optimization of CCTV, access control systems, perimeter security, drones, GPS tracking, and command centers.Leverage technology for remote monitoring of unmanned and geographically dispersed sites.Ensure cybersecurity alignment for physical security systems in coordination with IT teams.7. Compliance & GovernanceEnsure compliance with Group security policies, ISO standards, statutory regulations, and insurance requirements.Support audits, risk reviews, and insurance claims related to security incidents.Maintain accurate documentation, MIS, and dashboards for leadership review.Key InterfacesInternal: COO, Project Heads, O&M, Land Acquisition, Legal, HR, CSR, Corporate Security, ITExternal: Police, District Administration, Local Authorities, Security Vendors, Insurance AgenciesQualifications & ExperienceEducation:Graduate (mandatory); Postgraduate in Security Management / Risk Management preferredArmed Forces / Central Armed Police Forces / State Police background preferredExperience:15–20 years of experience in industrial / infrastructure / power / renewable sector securityPrior experience managing multi-location, remote assets across India is essentialStrong exposure to project security, land-related issues, and community dynamicsKey CompetenciesStrategic thinking with strong execution capabilityHigh integrity and crisis-handling abilityStrong stakeholder and government liaison skillsDeep understanding of rural and remote-area security challengesFinancial acumen for budgeting and cost controlExcellent communication and leadership skills
