Role Title: AccountantKey Responsibilities1. Corporate Bookkeeping & Accounting* Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 4 Corporations (2 Medical, 1 Business, 1 Holding Company).* Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks, ensuring all transactions are categorized correctly.* Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets for each entity.* Manage payroll and ensure compliance with basic employment law administrative requirements.* Prepare files for year-end tax season, serving as the primary liaison for the Canadian CPA.2. Property Portfolio Management* Oversight of 8 Properties: Tracking mortgage payments, interest rates, and renewal dates.* Rent Roll Management: Recording monthly rent collections and following up on any arrears.* Property Tax & Compliance: Monitoring property tax due dates and ensuring timely payments to various municipalities.* Tenant Liaison: Managing tenant requests and coordinating necessary maintenance or documentation.3. Reporting & Administration* Create consolidated reports for the owners to show the health of their personal and company holdings.* Utilize Excel and Google Docs for advanced tracking of property expenses and cash flow.* Ensure all corporate and property records are securely stored and organized digitally. Requirements* Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables), and Google Workspace.* Experience: 3+ years in accounting, ideally with experience managing real estate or multiple corporate entities.* Knowledge: Familiarity with the Canadian taxation system and employment laws is a significant advantage.* Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple deadlines (mortgages, tax dates, tenant requests) without oversight.* Communication: Professional communication skills to interact with tenants, vendors, and corporate partners.US shiftSalary- 20-22k (4 hours)
