Job Title: Sales Manager – Lab EquipmentCompany: Our Client in Lab Equipment ManufacturingDepartment: SalesReporting To: Senior Sales ManagerLocation:North Region (Rajasthan)West Region (Maharashtra, Goa)Number of Positions: 1 per regionJob SummaryThe Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales of incubator shakers, plant growth chambers, and related laboratory equipment within the assigned territory.This role involves identifying potential customers, understanding their technical requirements, presenting suitable solutions, preparing quotations, negotiating contracts, and ensuring post-sales support.The ideal candidate will have strong technical understanding, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sales in the life sciences domain.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation & Prospecting:Identify and qualify potential customers through cold calling, networking, online research, industry events, and follow-ups on marketing leads.Needs Analysis:Understand customer requirements related to incubator shakers and plant growth chambers, including research protocols and experimental setups.Technical Presentations & Demonstrations:Deliver effective product presentations and demonstrations, explaining technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Quotation Preparation & Negotiation:Coordinate with internal teams to prepare accurate quotations and negotiate commercial terms to successfully close deals.Sales Pipeline Management:Maintain and track a strong sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and consistent follow-ups.Market Research & Competitive Analysis:Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the Biopharma and life sciences sector.Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive repeat business.Post-Sales Support:Work with technical teams to ensure smooth installation, commissioning, and training. Address customer queries post-sales.Cross-functional Collaboration:Coordinate with marketing, engineering, and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.Reporting:Provide regular updates on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights to the reporting manager.Qualifications & ExperienceExperience:3–5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in laboratory equipment or life sciences.Technical Knowledge:Understanding of applications related to incubator shakers and plant growth chambersFamiliarity with growth chambers, data acquisition systems, and Biopharma compliance is an advantageCommunication Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts effectively.Sales Skills:Proven ability to generate leads, build client relationships, and close deals.Software Skills:Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Travel:Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Sales revenue achievementNew customer acquisitionSales pipeline growthCustomer satisfactionLead conversion rate
