Engagement Type: Freelance / ContractWork Mode: Remote / Hybrid (as per project requirement)Experience Level: 5+ YearsDiscipline: Electrical Design / Civil DesignJob Overview:We are looking for experienced Design Freelancers with strong expertise in Electrical Design and/or Civil Design for EPC projects in Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).This role is ideal for independent professionals who can support project-based design activities, reviews, and documentation with high technical accuracy and industry compliance.Key Responsibilities:Electrical Design Freelancers:Prepare and review electrical designs for Solar, Wind, and BESS EPC projects.Develop and validate SLDs, GA drawings, cable layouts, earthing layouts, and BOQs.Ensure compliance with CEA, DISCOM, utility, and grid code standards.Support design coordination with engineering and project teams.Assist in resolving design-related site or execution queries.Civil Design Freelancers:Prepare and review civil, structural, and foundation designs for renewable energy projects.Develop layouts for WTG foundations, inverter rooms, substations, roads, and platforms.Validate drawings, quantities, and design assumptions for constructability.Ensure adherence to IS codes, safety standards, and EPC requirements.Support design optimization and cost-effective engineering solutions.Required Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Electrical or Civil design for EPC projects.Proven experience in Solar, Wind, Substations, Transmission, or BESS projects.Strong understanding of EPC design workflows and project documentation.Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.Technical Skills:Electrical Design: SLDs, layouts, earthing, cable sizing, protection schemes.Civil Design: Foundations, structural layouts, GA drawings, BOQs.Tools: AutoCAD (mandatory), knowledge of design software is an advantage.Familiarity with Indian standards, utility norms, and statutory approvals.Why Work With Us:Flexible freelance engagement with long-term project opportunities.Exposure to large-scale renewable energy and EPC projects.Professional collaboration with experienced engineering teams.Opportunity to contribute to India’s clean energy transition.
