The role involves managing end-to-end product design and development processes, implementing advanced industrial design practices, translating complex conceptual briefs into precise 2D technical drafts and conducting detailed 3D modeling and CAD work. The engineer will also oversee prototype development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize designs for manufacturability and performance. You will be expected to leverage your deep understanding of both additive and subtractive manufacturing to ensure that all designs are optimized for performance, aesthetics, and mass-production feasibility. Key ResponsibilitiesConceptual Engineering: Develop comprehensive product designs based on initial client concepts, ensuring alignment with functional requirements and industry standards.Advanced Modeling: Execute high-precision 2D drafting and 3D modeling using industry-standard CAD/CAM suites.Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Optimize models for diverse production technologies, including SLA, SLM, SLS, FDM, and DLP 3D printing, as well as Vacuum Casting, Injection Molding, and CNC Machining.Structural Design: Engineer components for specialized industries such as Aerospace (lightweighting), Defense (durability), and Medical (precision), as well as architectural and electrical appliance sectors.Technical Documentation: Manage the creation of production-ready blueprints for Sheet Metal Fabrication and complex assembly instructions.Technical Skills & QualificationsMandatory Software Proficiency: Expert-level command of SolidWorks, Fusion 360, PTC Creo, and standard CAD/CAM workflows.Preferred Artistic Software: Proficiency in ZBrush or Blender is highly desirable for organic modeling, statues, and figurine projects.Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a core Industrial Design or Product Development role is strictly required.Manufacturing Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in designing for Sheet Metal Fabrication and high-precision CNC machining.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
