Our client, a leading global specialist in energy management and automation, is seeking a highly knowledgeable and pedagogically skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS) and building automation. The SME will play a critical role in supporting both the development and validation of high-quality e-learning modules.Key Responsibilities1. Technical Content Creation and ReviewContribute to the development of course content by providing clear technical explanations, real-world examples, and detailed system descriptions that can be transformed into engaging learning materials.Review and validate all technical content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with BMS industry standards and internal practices.Suggest improvements, corrections, and additional technical insights where required.2. Visual, Media, and Graphic SupportPropose relevant image references, including equipment, interfaces, system components, and architecture diagrams, to support content development.Collaborate closely with instructional designers and graphic teams by providing technical inputs for diagrams, animations, schematics, and storyboards.Evaluate proposed visuals to ensure accurate representation of BMS systems, workflows, and technical concepts.Validate the technical accuracy of all media assets.Review and approve final video deliverables prior to production sign-off.3. Ongoing Technical GuidanceProvide expert guidance and feedback throughout all stages of course design and production.Participate in review discussions and respond promptly to queries from design and production teams.Support iterative development processes to ensure seamless progress from concept to final delivery.Required Skills & ExpertiseStrong expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS), building automation, and building energy management.Deep, hands-on specialization in areas such as control sequences, HVAC automation, BMS architecture, and protocol-level knowledge (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, KNX).Proven experience in developing or reviewing technical materials, including system documentation, diagrams, and training content.Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured, and pedagogically sound explanations for non-technical audiences.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in training, instructional design, or e-learning content development.Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
