The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, zero-incident culture, and environmental sustainability while supporting business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesEHS Strategy & LeadershipDrive EHS strategy deployment aligned with business objectives.Build and promote a zero-accident safety culture across sites.Lead cross-functional stakeholder engagement for EHS initiatives.Compliance & Regulatory ManagementEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, Factories Act, and Indian regulations.Manage liaison with authorities such as PCB, DISH, Fire Department, PESO, CGWA.Lead regulatory inspections (USFDA, EMA, audits, ESG, ISO).Health, Safety & Risk ManagementImplement EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001, 45001, 50001).Drive risk assessments (JSA, HAZOP, PHA) and mitigation strategies.Lead incident investigation, reporting, and CAPA implementation.Strengthen industrial hygiene and workplace safety programs.Environment & SustainabilityManage ZLD systems (ETP, STP, RO, MEE/MVR, ATFD).Drive waste management, recycling, and environmental protection initiatives.Lead energy, water conservation, and sustainability programs.Ensure compliance with hazardous waste and environmental regulations.Crisis & Emergency ManagementDevelop and implement Emergency Response Plans (ERP).Lead fire safety systems, drills, and disaster management programs.Ensure business continuity planning and crisis readiness.Audits & AssuranceLead internal and external audits (ISO, ESG, SMETA, WCA, PSCI).Ensure audit readiness and zero major non-compliance findings.Team & Capability BuildingBuild and lead high-performing EHS teams across sites.Drive training, competency development, and awareness programs.Promote behavior-based safety culture across the organization.Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong expertise in EHS Management Systems & complianceExperience in process safety, risk assessment, and incident managementKnowledge of ZLD, wastewater treatment, and sustainability practicesExposure to pharma, manufacturing, or heavy engineering industriesStrong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skillsQualificationsMaster’s / Bachelor’s in Environmental Science / Engineering / SafetyCertifications preferred:NEBOSH / IOSHISO Lead Auditor (14001 / 45001)Key Highlights (Preferred Profile)15–20 years of experience in EHS leadership rolesProven track record in audit compliance and injury reductionExperience handling multi-site operations and global standardsStrong exposure to regulatory bodies and international audits
