Evolv Clothing Company's annual turnover stands at US$ 20 million, reflecting its strong presence in the global market.Role DescriptionJob Title: General Manager – Merchandising (Woven)Evolv Clothing Company is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager – Merchandising with strong expertise in woven garments, along with proven exposure to product development and business development. The ideal candidate will lead the merchandising function, drive customer engagement, develop new business opportunities, and ensure seamless execution from concept to shipment while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Development• Lead end-to-end product development for woven apparel categories. • Collaborate with design, sampling, and technical teams to create innovative and commercially viable products. • Work closely with buyers on tech packs, fabric sourcing, costing, and sample approvals. • Ensure timely development and approval of samples in line with buyer expectations.Merchandising & Order Management• Oversee the complete order lifecycle from enquiry to final shipment. • Ensure accurate costing, pricing strategies, and margin management. • Monitor T&A calendars and ensure on-time delivery of orders. • Coordinate with sourcing, production, and quality teams for smooth execution.Business Development• Identify and develop new international buyers and business opportunities. • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business. • Lead customer presentations, negotiations, and order finalization. • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to expand business.Coordination & Compliance• Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines. • Manage risk, resolve production or delivery challenges proactively. • Work closely with fabric and trim sourcing teams specific to woven categories.Team Leadership• Lead, mentor, and manage the merchandising team to achieve business goals. • Set KPIs, monitor performance, and drive team productivity. • Build strong cross-functional collaboration across departments.Required Skills & Qualifications• Experience: 10–15 years in apparel merchandising (woven category mandatory). • Strong exposure to Merchandising and product development • Proven experience handling international buyers (US/EU markets preferred). • Deep knowledge of woven fabrics, garment construction, and finishing processes. • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. • Ability to manage high-volume business and large teams.Preferred Candidate Profile• Experience in export houses or large apparel manufacturing organizations. • Strong existing buyer network will be an added advantage. • Ability to drive both strategic growth and operational excellence. • Experience in handling value-added and fashion garments.Education• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, Textiles, or a related field. • Postgraduate qualification in Management/Merchandising is a plus.If you are passionate about leading merchandising operations, driving product innovation, and expanding global business in the woven apparel segment, we invite you to be part of our leadership team.
