QA & Production Representative – OceanusLocation: Delhi, India (On-site at vendor / manufacturing facilities)Contract: Contractor / FreelanceCompany: OceanusOceanus is a London-based luxury lifestyle brand known for craftsmanship, sustainability and distinctive design. As our production continues to grow across international manufacturing partners, it is vital for Oceanus to have a dedicated representative based in Delhi to oversee quality control and support production operations directly on the ground.This role will act as the eyes and ears of the Oceanus production team, ensuring that quality standards are maintained, production runs smoothly, and communication between Oceanus and our manufacturing partners remains clear and proactive.Key Responsibilities1. Quality Assurance & Control• Implement and monitor Oceanus’ Quality Management System (QMS) within the vendor’s facility• Conduct regular in-process inspections at key production stages including Inline, DuPro and Final Random Inspections to identify defects early• Investigate quality failures and collaborate with factory technical teams to implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)• Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring quality issues• Review and approve pre-production samples (PPS) to ensure they match the approved “Golden Sample” specifications2. Production Oversight• Monitor daily production output against the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to ensure orders remain on track for shipment• Verify that vendors have adequate manpower, machinery and materials to meet order requirements• Identify potential production bottlenecks and work with factory management to optimize workflow• Oversee sourcing and storage of raw materials to ensure they meet Bill of Materials (BOM) specifications3. Liaison & Reporting• Act as the communication bridge between Oceanus and manufacturing partners, providing real-time updates on production progress and potential quality risks• Maintain detailed documentation including inspection reports, production logs and non-conformance reports (NCR)• Ensure factory compliance with social compliance standards, safety regulations and ethical manufacturing practicesPerformance Indicators (KPIs)• RFT (Right First Time) Rate – percentage of products passing inspection on the first attempt• OTD (On-Time Delivery) – meeting production and shipment deadlines• Defect Rate – reduction in customer returns or claims caused by manufacturing errorsWhat We’re Looking For• Experience in garment production, quality control or vendor operations within the fashion or apparel industry• Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes and quality inspection standards• Ability to identify production risks and implement practical solutions quickly• Strong organisational and reporting skills• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with factory management teams• Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining brand quality standardsAbout OceanusOceanus is a fast-growing luxury fashion brand focused on craftsmanship, sustainability and bold design.
