Head – Vehicle Integration (Heavy Electric Vehicle Engineering)Experience: 15–20 YearsLocation: BangaloreIndustry: Automotive / EV / Heavy Electric Vehicle EngineeringRole OverviewThe Head – Vehicle Integration (Electric Bus and trucks) will lead complete vehicle-level integration across powertrain, electrical, thermal, and control systems for heavy electric vehicle platforms. The role ensures seamless system performance, resolves complex engineering issues, drives cross-functional collaboration, and delivers reliable, high-quality EV products aligned with customer and program requirements.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Head – Vehicle Integration (Electric Bus and trucks) to lead complete vehicle-level integration across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and control domains. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise, strong customer-facing skills, and demonstrated experience in driving cross-functional engineering teams for heavy EV programs.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end Heavy Electric Vehicle (Bus/Trucks) integration, Traction battery, covering powertrain, thermal management, electrical, and control systems.Perform vehicle performance calculations, motor/engine characteristics analysis, and complete system-level evaluations.Review, validate, and integrate major automotive subsystems with a strong focus on drive quality, safety, and reliability.Oversee VMS (Vehicle Management System) and BMS integration, diagnostics, and issue resolution.Develop and execute test plans to ensure system-level and vehicle-level conformance.Interpret and analyze CAN data, wiring harness diagrams, electrical schematics, and PCB layouts.Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to close technical gaps and optimize vehicle functionality.Engage directly with customers to understand requirements and translate them into engineering deliverables.Lead conflict resolution and manage engineering trade-offs across cross-functional teams.Drive program reviews, milestone tracking, and alignment with corporate processes and engineering standards.Required Skills:-Strong expertise in HVAC, thermal systems, powertrain, battery systems, and overall drive performance.LCV, ICV, MDV and HCV bus and trucks Product knowledge of Indian and Global portfoliosVehicle and Battery related CMVR knowledgeFirst hand experience in vehicle CMVR certification processesExtensive experience in vehicle design, system integration, diagnostics, and validation.Excellent understanding of electrical systems, wiring schematics, embedded electronics, and harness architecture.Hands-on experience with CAN analysis tools and vehicle diagnostic interfaces.Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving, and customer relationship management skills.Proficiency in 3D CAD tools, MS Office, MS Project, and PowerPoint.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.Experience working on bus and truck platforms, EV programs, or high-complexity vehicle builds.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed, and dynamic engineering environment.“We are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace where every individual is respected, valued, and empowered to contribute.
