At Nucleus, we’re building the infrastructure and product surfaces that help developers turn advanced AI capabilities into real applications. We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to create the dashboards, playgrounds, and developer tooling that make building with Nucleus intuitive, powerful, and fast.About the roleAs a Frontend Engineer, Developer Tools, you will design and build the web interfaces developers use to explore, test, monitor, and integrate Nucleus products. This includes everything from interactive playgrounds and API dashboards to internal and external tooling that helps developers understand system behavior and move from experimentation to production.This role is a strong fit for someone who cares deeply about developer experience and product quality - someone who can turn complex technical systems into clear, responsive, and elegant interfaces for builders.In this role, you willBuild responsive, high-performance web applications for developer-facing products, including dashboards, playgrounds, consoles, and workflow tools.Create intuitive interfaces that help developers explore APIs, test model behavior, manage usage, and debug integrations.Partner closely with backend, platform, design, and product teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end developer experiences.Design and maintain frontend architecture, reusable UI components, and patterns that scale across developer tools.Work with real-time data, logs, usage metrics, and configuration-heavy workflows in a way that remains clear and usable.Improve performance, accessibility, reliability, and overall polish across our developer-facing web surfaces.Help define how developers interact with Nucleus systems, from first API call to production deployment.Contribute to engineering quality through testing, code reviews, and strong frontend development practices.We’re looking forStrong experience building modern frontend applications with JavaScript or TypeScript and frameworks such as React.Experience shipping production web applications with a high bar for responsiveness, usability, and maintainability.Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management, API integration, and component-based development.Strong product instincts and an appreciation for great developer experience.Experience building interfaces for technical users, such as dashboards, internal tools, admin products, or developer platforms.Familiarity with frontend testing, debugging, and performance optimization.Comfort working cross-functionally with designers, backend engineers, and product managers.Clear thinking and attention to detail when translating complex systems into understandable interfaces.Nice to haveExperience building developer tools, API platforms, cloud consoles, or observability products.Familiarity with design systems and documentation-heavy product surfaces.Experience with data-dense UIs, interactive editors, or technical workflows.Interest in AI products and the challenges of designing interfaces for model-driven systems.Why NucleusNucleus is building large-scale intelligent systems with an emphasis on technical excellence, real-world usefulness, and long-term responsibility.
