Job Title:Director - FinanceLocation: Mumbai - AndheriAbout the Role:We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Director - Finance who will act as a strategic partner to the Finance Head/CFO, driving fi nancial planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance management, and governance. The role combines strategic insight with hands-on execution, ensuring fi nancial discipline, scalability, and decision support for business leadership. The role requires a seasoned fi nance leader with strong expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis, business partnering, MIS, revenue recognition, ERP implementation, and team leadership. The individual will act as a key business advisor to the leadership team, driving profi tability, fi nancial discipline, system automation, and long-term strategic growth.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Finance & Business Leadership:● Partner with the CEO and Leadership Team to defi ne long-term business strategy, annual operating plans, and 5-year growth roadmap.● Evaluate new market expansion, digital spends, investments, and business initiatives through detailed financial feasibility models.● Provide actionable insights backed by projections, scenario planning, and risk assessment.● Drive fi nancial governance and ensure alignment of fi nancial goals with business objectives.2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):● Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and strategic planning cycles.● Develop and monitor segmental P&L, cash flow analysis, cost optimization, and profitability metrics.● Conduct variance analysis against budget and forecasts; highlight risks and opportunities.● Drive data-backed decision-making through dashboards, live MIS, and fi nancial analytics.3. Internal Controls & Risk Governance:● Ownership of Internal Financial Controls (IFC), risk management, SOPs, and audit governance.● Oversee preparation and finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements (IND-AS compliant).● Ensure accurate revenue recognition (including IND AS 115 standards where applicable).● Manage statutory audits, tax compliance, banking relationships, and regulatory requirements.● Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial governance frameworks.4. Operations & Process Excellence:● Oversee end-to-end finance operations: AR, AP, GL, Payroll, Taxation, Banking & Audits.● Optimize working capital, collections, and cash flow management.● Lead cost optimization initiatives across departments● Exposure to treasury management, liquidity planning, banking covenants, and (where applicable) forex risk management..● Implement strong performance tracking mechanisms across business verticals.5. Systems, ERP & Automation Leadership:● Drive ERP implementations, migrations, and system upgrades (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central).● Lead internal digital transformation initiatives including dashboard development and automation projects.● Partner with IT teams for development of MIS, database systems, intranet tools, and fi nance process automation.● Ensure creation of a single source of truth for business data.6. Team Leadership & Talent Development:● Partner with business and commercial teams on pricing decisions, contract margin analysis, bid/RFP evaluations, and business unit profi tability tracking to support informed decision-making and drive financial performance.● Lead and mentor finance, accounts, payroll, and MIS teams.● Build scalable finance structures to support high-growth environments.● Establish KPIs and performance metrics for fi nance teams.● Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and operational excellence.Qualifications & Experience:● Qualified CA mandatory, with CS / MBA (Finance) as an added advantage.● 8 -12 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounting with at least 6-8 years in a leadership or team management role.● Experience in IT/ITES startup companies, SaaS, PropTech, digital-first, or high-growth businesses are Mandatory.● Proven experience in FP&A, Business Planning, MIS, and Strategic Finance.● Experience in ERP implementation and fi nance system transformation● Strong exposure to revenue recognition, consolidation, and compliance.● Exposure to M&A activities, investor reporting, and Private Equity/strategic due diligence processes will be an added advantage, enabling effective support in strategic fi nance initiatives and stakeholder requirements.● Excellent communication skills with the ability to infl uence senior stakeholders and present solutions confidently.Interested candidates can share their resume at:/
