OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on QC Engineer to ensure product quality through rigorous shop floor inspections, testing, and documentation. Work closely with production teams to identify defects early, maintain compliance with international standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools like NCR, CAPA, 8D, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke.Coordinate with the Quality Head and production teams to ensure quality systems are effectively implemented at all stages—from inward inspection through in-process checks to final and pre-dispatch inspection. Support process and product improvement initiatives while maintaining accurate quality records and ensuring all measuring equipment remains properly calibrated and functional.Reports to: Quality HeadKey ResponsibilitiesInspection & Testing:Conduct inward, in-process, final, and Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI)Perform testing: tensile, elongation, insulation resistance, dimensional checksUse measuring tools: callipers, micrometres, gauges, tensile testersIdentify and segregate non-conforming materialsCalibration & Equipment:Manage calibration schedules and records for all measuring instrumentsEnsure tools are maintained and within calibration validityDocumentation & Reporting:Prepare inspection/test reports and maintain NCRsMaintain inspection records, test certificates, and calibration logs per ISO requirementsProblem-Solving & Improvement:Conduct root cause analysis (8D) and implement CAPA with production teams to resolve quality issuesProvide inputs for process and product improvementsParticipate in Kaizen activities and implement Poka-Yoke systemsSupport customer complaint investigationsCompliance:Ensure ISO quality standards and customer specifications are metSupport Quality Head during auditsFollow SOPs, Work Instructions, and Quality ChecklistsQualificationsDiploma/BE/BTech in Mechanical/Electrical/Production/Industrial Engineering3+ years in Quality Control (wire/cable/metal products preferred)Technical & Professional SkillsHands-on with measuring instruments: callipers, micrometres, gauges, tensile testersExperience with calibration managementFamiliarity with quality tools: NCR, CAPA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, Poka-YokeAbility to read engineering drawings and technical specificationsWorking knowledge of ISO documentation and MS OfficeStrong attention to detail and analytical problem-solvingGood communication and coordination skillsShop-floor oriented and organized with recordsFluent in English; Hindi preferred; Marathi a plusApply: Send CV to
