Important - For CAs onlyThe Sr. Manager F&A (India) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finance operations for India entity. This role ensures strong financial governance, statutory compliance, accurate reporting, and alignment with global finance leadership. This is a hands-on leadership role with significant ownership across financial operations including accounting, tax, compliance, payroll oversight, and financial planning and budgeting. The role will work closely with global finance leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure financial discipline, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Financial Control & Reporting ● Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for the India entity and Co-ordinate with the US team for consolidated reporting. ● Ensure accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and maintenance of the general ledger. ● Prepare monthly management accounts, MIS, cashflow reports, and variance analysis. ● Support group reporting, financial consolidation, and internal management reporting requirements. Tax & Statutory Compliance ● Ensure full compliance with Indian tax regulations including GST, TDS, Income Tax filings, MCA filings, STPI filings, Statutory Audits and Assessments. ● Coordinate with external tax advisors, consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities. ● Ensure timely submission of statutory returns, filings, and audit requirements. ● Maintain a comprehensive statutory and compliance calendar. ● Manage regulatory notices, assessments, and departmental audits ensuring timely responses and resolution. Payroll & Employment Compliance ● Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness including tax computations and statutory deductions. ● Ensure compliance with Indian employment and labor regulations including PF, ESIC, gratuity, professional tax, and other statutory contributions. ● Coordinate closely with HR, legal teams, and external consultants on employment-related financial matters. Governance & Internal Controls ● Develop and maintain strong internal controls, finance policies, and governance frameworks. ● Drive improvements in accounting systems, reporting tools, and workflow automation. ● Ensure adherence to global finance policies, audit standards, and governance requirements. ● Support internal and external audits including documentation preparation and audit responses. ● Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies aligned with corporate governance standards. Stakeholder Management ● Act as the primary finance contact for India operations. ● Work closely with global finance leadership, legal, HR, and operational teams. ● Support ad-hoc financial analysis, strategic projects, and management requests. Business Finance & Planning ● Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning for India operations. ● Monitor cost structures, operational KPIs, and business margins. ● Partner with business leaders to drive financial discipline and performance management. ● Support pricing analysis, client profitability evaluation, and investment decisions. ● Identify cost optimization opportunities and operational efficiency improvements. ● Manage working capital, cash forecasting, and liquidity planning. ● Oversee receivables, payables, banking relationships, and treasury coordination. Global Finance Coordination ● Support intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and transfer pricing documentation. ● Align India finance processes with global reporting standards. ● Collaborate with global finance teams on consolidation timelines and governance requirements. Education & Experience ● Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, audit, or compliance. ● Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, taxation, and statutory compliance. US GAAP knowledge will be an added advantage. ● Experience managing payroll and employment compliance in India. ● Prior experience in a multinational company, Tech Company, shared services, or high-growth environment is preferred. ● Professional qualification - CA ● Experience with accounting systems such as Tally Prime is preferred.
