Job Title : Senior Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) Experience:8–12 YearsLocation:Chennai / Pan India Job Summary We are looking for an accomplishedSenior Network Subject Matter Expert (SME)with deep expertise in enterprise networking to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical authority across LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud networking technologies, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability across the organization. Key Responsibilities Network Architecture & Design Design and validateenterprise and data center network architecturesaligned with business and security requirements. DevelopHigh-Level Designs (HLD)andLow-Level Designs (LLD)for LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center, and Cloud connectivity. Define network standards, best practices, and reference architectures. Implementation & Operations Lead the deployment, configuration, and optimization of complex network solutions. Provide L3/L4 support for critical network incidents, root cause analysis, and preventive measures. Ensure high availability, redundancy, disaster recovery, and performance optimization of network infrastructure. Networking Technologies Manage and optimize enterprise networks involving: Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP) Data Center Networking WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS Network Security & Segmentation Work with firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and zero-trust networking models. Automation & Innovation Drive network automation using tools such as Ansible, Python, or vendor-specific APIs. Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams for integrated solutions. Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend improvements. Cloud & Hybrid Networking Design and support networking forHybrid and Multi-Cloud environments(AWS, Azure, GCP). Integrate on-premise networks with cloud environments using secure connectivity models. Stakeholder & Vendor Management Act as anetwork SME and trusted advisorto architects, application teams, and leadership. Engage with vendors and service providers for solution design, escalations, and upgrades. Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and technical documentation. Required Qualifications & Skills Technical Skills Strong expertise in: LAN/WAN/Data Center Networking Routing & Switching protocols Network Security concepts SD-WAN and enterprise connectivity Hands-on experience with leading network vendors such as: Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5 Practical exposure tonetwork monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning tools . Knowledge of automation/scripting is highly desirable. Certifications (Preferred) CCNP / CCIE / JNCIP / JNCIE Network Security certifications (PCNSE, NSE, etc.) are a plus Cloud networking certifications (AWS/Azure) are advantageous Experience & Competencies 8–12 years of hands-on networking experience in large-scale enterprise environments. Proven experience working as aNetwork SME / Technical Lead / Architect . Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and decision-making skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and lead critical network initiatives.
