Job Description Job Title: US Tax Preparer Location: Mohali (On-site) Shift Timing: Night Shift (US Shift) Experience: 1–4 years preferred Employment Type: Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented US Tax Preparer to join our team in Mohali. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing US individual and/or business tax returns while ensuring compliance with IRS regulations. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review US individual tax returns (Form 1040) Handle business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065) as applicable Gather and organize client financial information and documents Ensure accuracy and compliance with IRS guidelines Identify tax-saving opportunities for clients Communicate with clients to resolve tax-related queries Maintain proper documentation and work papers Stay updated with US tax laws and regulatory changes Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications Hands-on experience in US tax preparation Good knowledge of IRS forms and filing procedures Familiarity with tax software Drake, ProSeries, Lacerte, etc Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Good communication skills Ability to work on night shift Good to Have Experience with US accounting concepts Prior experience working with US clients EA (Enrolled Agent) pursuing or completed Benefits Perks & Benefits Fixed night shift (US hours) Professional growth opportunities Supportive work environment Competitive salary Requirements Required: Minimum 2+ years of experience in US bookkeeping Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (mandatory) Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Solid understanding of US accounting processes and basic GAAP concepts Proven experience with AR/AP, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, tables, and reconciliations) Availability to work US night shifts as required Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication Preferred: Experience with US payroll processes and payroll-related compliance Certifications such as QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Certified Bookkeeper, or relevant bookkeeping/accounting certifications Experience preparing financial statements and management reports for US clients Familiarity with additional accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, NetSuite) or integrated tools Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis) and process improvement experience Prior experience coordinating directly with US-based clients and cross-functional teams
