This role bridges the gap between conceptual design and site execution, ensuring that all buildings—academic, residential, and recreational—meet world-class aesthetic standards, functional requirements, and statutory norms.Key Responsibilities:Design Coordination & Management: Act as the primary internal point of contact for external architectural consultants. Review and refine GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, ensuring they align with the Institute’s vision and functional needs.Multidisciplinary Integration: Closely coordinate with the Planning and Commercial teams to ensure designs are technically feasible and within budget. Lead the coordination between Architectural, Structural, and MEP (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) services to prevent on-site clashes.Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with the Maharashtra State Private University norms, local municipal (MCGM/CIDCO) building bye-laws, and fire safety regulations. Assist the Regulatory Affairs team in preparing architectural documents for statutory approvals.Interior & Fit-out Oversight: Manage the detailed design and material selection for high-end interiors, including classrooms, labs, faculty housing, and student common areas. Work with the Procurement team to source premium finishes and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment).Site Supervision & Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to ensure that execution matches the approved architectural drawings and quality standards. Resolve technical design issues arising during the construction phase.Sustainability & Innovation: Incorporate sustainable design practices and smart campus technologies into the architectural framework to ensure energy efficiency and long-term campus durability.Required Skills & Qualifications:Education: B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) from a reputed institute. Council of Architecture (COA) registration is mandatory.Experience: 5–8 years of experience in managing large-scale institutional, commercial, or premium residential projects. Experience with campus-style developments is highly preferred.Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), Rhino/SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with project management tools (MSP/Primavera) is a plus.Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction materials, detailing, and the /"Excavation to Possession/" lifecycle.Communication: Exceptional ability to present design concepts to senior leadership and negotiate with specialized vendors and contractors.
