Role: Structural Design Engineer – Cold-Formed Steel (Remote – India)This is a full-time remote role for a Structural Design Engineer with hands-on experience in analysis and design of Cold-Formed Steel (LGSF) structures.The role is focused purely on structural design, while drafting and detailing will be handled by our Vertex BD drafter.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis and design of LGSF structures (residential / light commercial)Calculate loads (dead, live, wind, seismic) based on project locationDesign members, sections, gauges, and spacing for walls, floors, and roof systemsIdentify where hot-rolled steel is required within LGSF projectsProvide complete design inputs to the Vertex BD drafting teamReview architectural drawings and convert them into structural design solutionsOptimize designs for weight, cost, and manufacturabilityEnsure compliance with AISI / AISC standards (basic understanding required)Required SkillsStrong understanding of Cold-Formed Steel (LGSF) design principlesHands-on experience with STAAD Pro / STRAP for structural analysisAbility to independently design complete LGSF structures from architectural inputsClear understanding of load paths, member behavior, and structural systemsAbility to coordinate with a Vertex BD drafter and provide accurate design dataQualificationMTech in Civil or Structural Engineering1–3 years of experience in structural design (LGSF preferred)Working Model100% RemoteYou will work closely with a Vertex BD drafter and build a strong design–drafting workflowInitial phase will focus on practice projects and team coordination before live productionEmail Resume
